The Polished Pitbull was founded in 2008 to provide advocacy, education and rescue for pitbull type dogs. Our passion has always been pitbull type dogs. They need help probably more than any other breed, though our DNA analysis (we get DNA results for every dog we take from shelters and adopt out) shows that out of 60 dogs tested, only 2 were full breed dogs...the rest were all mixed breed dogs...pit-mixes.

$200 adoption fee; application/home visit, contract. All adoptions start as a two week trial sleepover.
