Union County Humane Society is a foster-based rescue. We take in strays in our county and place them into foster homes. We then vaccinate, deworm, and treat all of our animals for anything they may have. Once the animals are healthy, they are put up for adoption.

Adopters fill out an application. We talk to their veterinarian and verify that they are responsible pet owners. We also check with the prospective pet owners landlord if any and make sure that pets are allowed in the household. There is a small adoption fee required for each animal. If all of the requirements are met the pet may be adopted.
