Description

We do not have a permanent office. Our members are all volunteers that foster dogs or cats until we can place them in forever homes. If can not be placed, the foster usually ends up with another pet of their own. We are non-profit that depends n donations and our fund raising activities. We have a adopt a thons twice or more each month but most of our success with adoptions are from Petfinder. When we take puppies and ittens from private citizens, we spayed the mom and neutered the dad, if he is available. We also take from the local animal shelter.

Adoption Process

We have an on line application. The interest family contacts us about a particular pet that they viewed on Petfinder. We send them the application. Once we receive the application back, we do a vet check. We also look over their answers, especially where they are planning on keeping the pet, how many animals they currently have, etc. We try to match out animal with the family. Sometimes, the application is good but not for the particualr animal they want. Our fee ranges from $50-$200, depending on our cost of meeting the medical needs. We usually try to make a small profit on puppies but generally don't on anything else.
