I live in a rural area where stray cats and some dogs wander in regularly. My policy has always been to trap, neuter and release the cats, and if they decide to stay, then they become part of my farm family. The dogs are altered, and homes are found for them. About twelve years ago, I began volunteering with a rescue in Wagoner. I learned a great deal about rescuing animals while there. I, and several of my rescue friends, now want to focus more on our immediate area, as the cats are still coming and many of them are very suitable for adoption into loving homes. Rescuegroups.org has been a wonderful way to make potential adopters aware of the animals needing homes. We would like to be able to share our adoptable pets with the people looking to adopt through your portal. We want to make a difference to every pet who is sent our way.

All pets will be altered, vaccinated and vet checked before adoption. Adopters will meet with the prospective pet and have an informal interview with a volunteer first. Adopters must accept a volunteer home visit before the pet can be adopted. Adoption fees will vary by age of pet and vet services needed before pet is deemed adoptable.
