Description

Wright-Way Rescue is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

Its mission is to reduce the number of homeless pets euthanized in the Midwest each year through an adoption program, community education, promotion of spaying and neutering, and a veterinary medicine program. It continues to save pets from rural animal control facilities where they are at a high risk of euthanasia, and instead offer them a second chance at a loving home in the Chicagoland area.

Adoption Process

To apply to adopt a pet from Wright-Way Rescue, one must fill out an online application at www.wright-wayrescue.org. Once approved, they may place a reservation to meet the pet they see online. They are asked to place a reservation only if they are seriously considering adding this pet to their home.

Wright-Way Rescue has two locations, the North Shore Humane Center and the Admission and Medical Services Campus. The location of the pet is listed on their website profile. All pets travel to the North Shore Humane Center in Morton Grove once they are ready for adoption. Adopters are asked to call the Adoption Hotline to find out more about a pet's location and availability date. Animals can also be adopted from our Admission and Medical Services Campus in Murphysboro, IL. Reservations for the Murphysboro location can be made by calling 618-208-1509.

Adopters can also look more casually at our adoptable animals, by stopping in at Wright-Way Rescue's North Shore Humane Center located at 5915 Lincoln Avenue in Morton Grove, IL. Our hours of operation are Thursday 2pm-8pm, Friday 12pm-8pm, and Saturday/Sunday 11am-4pm. We are closed Monday-Wednesday.

All Wright-Way Rescue animals come up-to-date on medical care. The adoption fee includes: current vaccinations including Canine Influenza, initial deworming medication, microchip and registration, a veterinary check with health certificate, and a 30 day free trial of pet health insurance.

Puppies under 9 months of age are $385 and puppies over 9 months of age and adult dogs are $335. Kittens under 9 months are $140 and kittens over 9 months and adult cats are $125.
