Our Mission Since 1946, Nashville Humane Association has been a safe haven for at-risk, homeless and adoptable pets. NHA is a family of almost 60 staff and board members, along with hundreds of fosters, contributors, volunteers, and active supporters all dedicated to our mission of saving lives. Nashville Humane Association is committed to finding responsible homes, controlling pet overpopulation, and promoting the humane treatment of animals, all while supporting pets and pet-families in our community. About Us As an entirely gift-based not-for-profit, Nashville Humane relies on contributions from supporters like you to do the work necessary to protect homeless, adoptable, and at-risk pets in Nashville, throughout middle Tennessee and across the globe. Simply put, we’ve been doing this a very long time. None of the amazing work that we perform daily for pets and their people would be possible without your support. We’re not a government agency; we don’t have the support of a giant national umbrella organization. We’re a small, local shelter that is dedicated to saving lives. It’s because of your support that we will continue to rescue pets from hoarding cases, neglect and abuse cases, and puppy mills. It’s because of your support that we’re able to provide disaster relief, and support urban and rural animal shelters and rescues. And, it’s because of your support that we will save thousands and thousands of lives every year, with a 99% save rate. We are a cat rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats in need and finding them loving forever homes. Our team of dedicated volunteers works tirelessly to ensure that each cat receives the care, attention, and love they deserve.

Tri-County Animal Rescue is a 100% no-kill animal shelter. Since inception in 1996 we have rescue, rehabilitated, and rehomed 88,000 animals.

Cat Adoption and Rescue Efforts, Inc. (C.A.R.E.) is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to the rehabilitation, care and adoption of cats and kittens rescued from euthanizing animal shelters in Richmond, VA and surrounding areas. And, accepts on a limited basis animals from alternative sources. We are committed to the highest principles of humane care and obtain professional medical treatment for all animals in our systems.

Arcadia Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization dedicated to alleviating the suffering of abused and abandoned animals. At Arcadia, animals are valued and the human-animal bond is celebrated. Our vision is a modern-day “Arcadia” or Utopia for all animals. While we know this is an ambitious goal, it is one we will tirelessly strive for. No animal should be euthanized to save space, because it is unwanted, or because of the inconvenience of care.

We focus on mostly animals coming out of the shelter, severe medical, we are an all breed, foster based rescue.

Del Mar Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing abused, neglected, abandoned, stray dogs. The organization is operated solely by volunteers; and relies fully on adoption fees and charitable donations for its existence. Del Mar Dog Rescue aims to be of service to animals and pets that do not have a voice, by giving them the care and loving companionship they need. Our mission is to rescue dogs that are abused, neglected, abandoned, homeless and helpless. Our goal is to remove animals from impoverished, intolerable conditions and provide them with proper nutrition and necessary veterinary care. Including appropriate vaccinating, evaluation by a veterinarian, necessary treatment, and (age appropriate) spaying or neutering of all dogs that come into our care, which in turn helps stunt the over reproduction of dogs. Likewise, we introduce socializing techniques to teach good pet behavior while reinforcing positive human interaction, to equip our dogs as best as possible for integrating into a happy, healthy environment. Our aim is to save as many dogs in need as possible, preparing them to be adoptable and finding them their forever home. We are based in Southern California (San Diego, CA) and our team of volunteers extends our organization’s reach to places where there is a need for comprehensive animal services. We travel to areas where the capacity to provide the former is limited or non existent, including areas where there are large cases of animal euthanasia. As a rescue we save puppies and dogs from desperate conditions. -There are a surplus of dogs which have been abandoned, homeless, neglected, and that are consistently filling the space at high-kill facilities. -The number of helpless puppies and dogs that we are able to rescue is limited to the the current bandwidth our organization has to care for dogs in our possession and the turnaround time between finding each dog a qualified adopter. -Del Mar Dog Rescue has developed a strong relationship with PetSmart Store Number 1959, in Puyallup, WA, where we have hosted adoption events that consist of an average of 40 adoptable dogs and puppies per event. -In turn, the in-store adoptions are steadily increasing our annual adoptions.

Devoted to pets is dedicated to saving the lives of innocent dogs and cats in crisis.

My passion for rabbits came in 2021 when I adopted my first 3 rabbits. They were wonderful companions and surprisingly easy to care for so I was really inspired by the happiness they brought to my llfe. I ended up volunteering with local animal shelters to adopt their rabbits and provide educational seminars in their facilities to help eliminate the rabbits that come into the shelters because their owners underestimated their level of care. After my first adoptions from shelters, I fell in love with growing with my rabbits and now I'm even taking intakes for the shelters I used to volunteer for! Full circle karma, I love it! :)

We started 4 Paws Kiddo Rescue in 2018 after decades of working in several different aspects of Animal Rescue as transporters, caretakers, volunteers and whatever other ways we found to contribute to the needs of animals as we saw them. Among the primary purposes of 4 Paws Kiddo Rescue is to help dogs in need of socialization and medical care get assistance and care, and then help them to find healthy permanent homes. Secondarily it’s to find dogs in need of homes and match them up with people looking for specific types of dogs. While our main focus is on small to medium sized dogs, we’ve also been able to place large dogs with appropriate new owners as well. At times we’ve even been able to find homes for cats. A lot of our energy is focused on injured and at-risk dogs who need some extra physical or psychological care. We regularly take in dogs with severe physical injuries, lingering illnesses and age related diseases. We also spend a lot of time helping dogs with socialization issues learn how to trust people, other dogs and unfamiliar living situations.

Second Chance Ranch Rescue and Sanctuary is a nonprofit animal rescue in North Carolina. Our organization pulls dogs and cats from high kill shelters in rural counties in North Carolina with high rates of medical cases, abuse and neglect. Many of our pets suffer from a multitude of dire medical needs from heartworm treatment to cleft palate reconstructive surgeries. It is our mission to give these deserving pets the life they deserve, no matter how long it takes for them to find it. We are completely foster based, which means that we do not have a shelter facility. All of the dogs and cats who we save are housed in volunteer foster homes with loving families who aide in their rehabilitation. Additionally, everyone who "works" for our rescue is a volunteer, including our Board members and founder. Everything that we do, and all that we provide, is achieved through generous donations by our dedicated supporters.

We are a foster-based rescue with a mission to save cats and dogs from the local high-kill animal shelters and promote their health and well-being by updating vaccines, ensuring animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped and having local adoption events at least once a week to give our rescues a 2nd chance at finding a forever home.

Angus & Friends Cat Rescue, aka, Angus & Friends, Inc., works collaboratively with other groups to do Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), and to find loving, furrever homes for as many stray cats, and kittens, as possible. We are passionate about the cats, and about educating the public about ways to help the cats and kittens that cross their paths with the goal of reducing the numbers of community cats on the streets. Angus & Friends, Inc., is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity organization that aims to reduce the numbers of community cats who suffer lives of deprivation and pain. As a small organization, we recognize the importance of working with other rescue groups to accomplish this goal due to the sheer numbers of cats and kittens born. We can be most effective when we can access the most resources, and we can do that by actively seeking out help wherever it is needed, and offering help whenever we have the resources.
