Wanda's Little Rescues

Raleigh
North Carolina
27604
wandaslittlerescues@gmail.com(919) 872-4222
WHO WE ARE Wanda's Little Rescue is a not for profit rescue, that is based in Raleigh, NC. Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome abused, unwanted and abandoned small dogs from kill shelters in and around the Carolinas. We also will take in strays from the street to keep them from going into a kill shelter. On occasion, we will also save a dog from Craigslist, to keep them from falling into the wrong hands, for unspeakable reasons. Wanda's Little Rescue is a private, foster home-based rescue and we do not have a public shelter for viewing our dogs. All of our dogs are in foster homes, prior to them being adopted into their forever homes. All of our dogs in our care are full vetted prior to adoption. This means they are examined, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and receive any and all necessary medical treatment before being placed as available for adoption. Our potential adopters are carefully screened and thoroughly interviewed, to decide if they are a good fit for our dogs. We want to help to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, one pet at a time. Many reference links can be found on our "Informative Links" page, to assist in learning how to properly care for your pet. If you don't find what you are looking for, drop us a line and we will do our best to provide you with a link to the information you seek.

Utah Valley Animal Rescue

Spanish Fork
Utah
84660
utahvalleyanimalrescue@gmail.com(385) 355-4738
Utah Valley Animal Rescue was founded by Heathre Hone in July 2014. Her goal is to care for sick, undernourished, unwanted animals and to find permanent homes for them. Providing proper care for animals has been an integral part of Heathre's lifestyle. At one point she showed Rottweilers. For many years she was a member of Intermountain Therapy Animals (ITA), an organization dedicated to enhancing quality of life through the human/animal bond. For the past three years she has been a volunteer at South Utah Valley Animal Shelter, working to reunite owners and lost pets. In May 2014 she organized the annual Celebrate Your Pet Event, a fundraiser for the shelter and great fun for the community. Eventually Heather became aware of another ongoing animal problem. Not all pets are reunited with their owners, nor should they be. Some animals have been abused or abandoned. There is no going back for them. They have no voice. They need an advocate. Now they have both with Utah Valley Animal Rescue. As Heather says, "Animals have feelings. They can be hurt. They don't deserve to be mistreated. They trust and depend on their owners. Animals are not meant to be thrown away". Utah Valley Animal Rescue works closely with Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, UT; South Utah Valley Animal Shelter; and area veterinarians to provide a safe place for unwell or traumatized cats and dogs to heal and recover until they can be placed in permanent homes with people who will take proper care of them. All animals are spayed or neutered, and vaccinated before they are adopted out to responsible owners. There are many people working together to ensure that all animals in Utah Valley Animal Rescue's Care are safe and their health is a top priorities. Heather states, We love animals and want to help them. Utah Valley Animal Rescue is poised to do just that, one pet at a time.
