The Ark of Hope Animal Rescue, Inc.

13400 Arctic Ridge Lane
Oldtown
Maryland
21555
arkofhoperescue@yahoo.com(301) 478-3300
The Ark of Hope Rescue, Inc. is a rescue organization, located near Cumberland, MD, that takes in abused, neglected and/or abandoned animals. Together Dianne Care, her husband Bobby, their son Bobby 3, and their daughter Elizabeth are the folks who take care of the animals and run the Ark. Over the years Dianne has been rescuing animals, but the cost of vet bills, food for the animals, spaying and neutering, as well as the numerous other supplies needed to do this became too financially prohibitive; so, they decided to set up an organization where others would learn about caring for dogs, cats, etc., and hopefully people would decide that they wanted to help. They have built a new building suitable for some long term rescues. These are the animals that come here in need of medical attention, or with slight behavior problems that need to be addressed before they are placed in new homes, as well as other reasons.

NikaPower, Inc DBA The Rescued Pup Boutique

713 Main Street
Ramona
California
92065
therescuedpup@gmail.com(760) 788-6805
Our rescue is NikaPower, Inc. We used to hold our adoption events at pet stores, through private showings and public events. However, this proved to be extremely stressful for our dogs (all but the private showings). We started searching for a physical store front and found the perfect spot by our home. This was the birth of The Rescued Pup Boutique. We had to increase our adoption fees to cover our expenses, but so far it has been working out great. We have placed over 60 dogs since February of this year. we chose to name our adoption center something different than the name of our rescue, to help with marketing and to make it clearer what we were doing. At our location we also have boutique items for sale and all of the proceeds go to help our rescue efforts. We are all volunteers that work for free at the shop. We feel it is a great opportunity to get the public involved in volunteering to help animals, we also work to educate about the importance of shots and fixing pets in addition to microchip. Our location is in a more rural part of San Diego, but we are attracting visitors from all over. Our dogs come to the shop everyday and go home at night with their fosters. None of our dogs are kept in shelter type of accommodations. When visitors come to our shop they are welcome to play with, walk, cuddle, brush or just hang out with the dogs. We have a couch that the dogs are allowed on so the humans can visit. We have a solid following of frequent flyers that come solely to play with the dogs. We encourage this because it helps our dogs to be socialized and the dogs are offering their services back to the community. Nothing like stopping by after a long day of work to de-stress with a dog!

Hope Animal Rescue

North Carolina
27704
info@hopeanimals.org
Hope Animal Rescue was founded in February of 2013, as a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the unnecessary killing of North Carolina's adoptable dogs and cats. We are a foster based rescue founded by a mother-daughter duo who wanted to make a difference in the lives of shelter pets. As of August 30, 2013, Hope Animal Rescue is recognized by the IRS as a 501c3 tax exempt rescue organization. We hope to end the killing of homeless pets in North Carolina and stop the use of gas chamber euthanasia, while rescuing those at immediate risk of euthanasia. We seek alternative methods to the killing of adoptable animals in our shelters, with the ultimate goal of having every shelter in North Carolina become No-Kill. This can be done, but it takes a community to make change happen!

Purr-Fect Match Animal Rescue, Inc.

P.O. Box 44
Wisconsin
53044
purrfectmatch13@gmail.com(920) 234-5995
PFM has been formed by three people with over 30 years of rescue experience between them. We feel that there is a "hole" in current rescue/shelter efforts and we hope to be able to help fill that hole. One aim is to help people understand their animals by education of animal behaviors. Hopefully, that will reduce the number of animals being brought in to "shelters" in our area. We also intend to provide an online service where animals (who have been vetted by us) can be seen by potential adopters, whom we will vet the same way we do our own. Additionally, there are animals we come into contact with who need immediate rescuing. We are a foster-based organization (limited), and will intake the animal(s) as soon as a foster home has room. We follow strict protocol for vaccinations (distemper and rabies), testing (FeLV/FIV, heartworm, etc.), preventative (heartworm), spay/neuter, and microchips. All of the animals available for adoption through our foster homes is up to date on all vaccinations and tests. We spay/neuter our animals between 4 and 6 months if young, and as soon as we intake them if older. All of the members of PFM have previous fostering experience. We do this because, as our mission states, "Purr-Fect Match Animal Rescue is dedicated to the sanctity of all living things and their inherent right to a happy, healthy, and humane life." We hope to accomplish this one animal and one forever home at a time.

West Coast Boxer Rescue

Rowland Heights
California
91748
contact@westcoastboxerrescue.org
We are a small Boxer rescue organization that was branched off of another organization a. We are an approved 501c3. Due to Boxer popularity, we are experiencing large amount of Boxers being surrendered or dumped in streets and shelters. Most of these Boxers are wonderful dogs and they deserve great home. However, most of the dogs are untrained and require the right type of homes. Some are in need of medical care due to neglect. We work hard to save them and find them the right home. Some of our adopters are new to the breed or have a different expectation for the dogs. We work with the adopters and set their expectation properly for a rescue dogs and provide support to them to ensure the adoptions are successful.
