We are a network of foster homes based in Bucks and Philadelphia counties. Throughout the year we participate in various adoption events to promote our group and find homes for our adoptable animals. Currently we use Facebook, Petfinder, Adopt a Pet, and our own website to post pictures and videos of our animals. We also promote TNR and will assist with trapping, neutering and release of feral cats. There is a huge problem in the US with pet overpopulation so we are trying to do our small part to rectify the problem.

Spencer (our son) is a special young man and he has always loved animals. Because of him, we have been rescuing dogs for many years. When he got to high school, he was able to work part time through vocational training at school. His first job at a vet clinic didn't satisfy him very well because he only got to clean and not interact with the animals. We found a wonderful place for him to work called Woodland West Animal Hospital. They allowed him to work through vocational training and he got to work with the animals! Boy did he ever flourish! They fostered his love of animals so much that he was the first student at his high school to start an animal rescue club. He got students involved in volunteering and helping local animal rescues. That was only the beginning for Spencer. He got involved with the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They took him under their wings and he flourished again. He got involved in adoption events, helping animals that had been affected by wildfires and tornadoes. He also helped spread the word about spaying and neutering. Needless to say, as his parents we are very proud of the young man that Spencer has become. His life mission is to make sure that all animals have a loving and forever home. One particular rescue found a permanent dwelling place in Spencer's heart. That dog was named Bubba. Spencer and Bubba have been inseparable. Spencer thinks that the sun rises and sets in Bubba. When we started helping to achieve his dream of having his own rescue, we asked him what did he want to call it. Of course, he said "Bubba's Rescue". When we asked him what his mission was for Bubba's Rescue, he said that he wanted to make sure that all animals had a home and that he wouldn't have to rescue any more

SaveDog Project, Inc.

Wilmington

I am a business owner in Wilmington, NC who has begun to work with organizations in the Turks & Caicos Islands to help save the homeless Potcake dogs that inhabit the islands. The Potcake Project is sponsored by SaveDog Project, Inc., a non-profit dog welfare organization I am founding in 2014. We LOVE Potcakes, so our mission is very simple – we strive to give homeless Potcake dogs the opportunity to live in the home of a lifetime. We view Potcakes as our clients, and we’ll do whatever it takes to exceed our client’s expectations, one wagging tail at a time. We intend to help support the efforts of other potcake rescue organizations, with a common goal of uniting adoptable potcakes with loving forever homes. We also intend to support intelligently implemented spay & neutering programs, the critical “other half of a solution” to the proliferation of homeless, unwanted Potcakes in the Turks & Caicos Islands and Bahamas.

Rescue Pals

Arizona

rescuepals85268@gmail.com
Susan Dawson, Maureen Glunz and myself (Christine Schaeken) started walking boarded rescue dogs 4 years ago when we were training to walk the Breastcancer 3-Day. Friends and family members joined us within a few weeks and soon we had a bigger group of volunteers. Over time we not only walked the rescue dogs but got involved in their adoptions and we formed Rescue Pals. Most of our dogs are strays, mostly found in Fountain Hills. we have occasional owner surrenders. We are New Hope partners with Pinal Animal Care and Control and are working on becoming New Hope partners with Maricopa County Animal Care and control. But since most of our dogs are boarded in a boarding facility space is limited. We have a few foster homes and foster the dogs that need it, that shut down in the boarding facility or who need surgery and recovery or dogs who need rehabilitation. We are all volunteers

Texas Cattle Dog Rescue

PO Box 162643
Texas
76161
adopt@texascattledogrescue.com
Texas Cattle Dog Rescue (TCDR) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing stray and abandoned Australian Cattle Dogs and providing medical and foster care, then placing these dogs in loving and caring homes. TCDR rescues dogs from city and county shelters throughout Texas. We find new, forever homes all across the state for our dogs. Our mission is to reduce the shocking number of heelers euthanized in Texas shelters. We match each rescued dog with a forever home where he/she will be loved, cared for, and fully enjoyed and appreciated. Educating current and future owners is a key focus and helps us match dogs with homes. We believe pets should be spayed and neutered to reduce pet over population. We also ensure our rescued dogs are healthy and vaccinated when they are placed.

Howlin4Spirit Companion Animal Rescue

Rutherfordton
North Carolina

howlin4spirit@gmail.com(828) 429-8298
H4S formed on January 2, 2004. Rutherford Co, NC does not have a shelter for adoptable pets. Only a 'high-kill' Animal Control. When I inquired as to the adoption/return to owner rate, at that time, it was a mere 3%. In the summer months, I had volunteered at a shelter in Yancey Co, NC for 10 yrs, establishing their rescue effort and building a 'state-of-the art' shelter, there. In the winter months, I felt lost and useless, and bored, so decided that I needed to step up to help rescue as many of the dogs I could, in Rutherford Co, NC where we lived during the winter months. In 2007, we decided to sell our summer place, since Yancey had everything it needed now, with a sweet shelter doing amazing things for the animals in need there. Since, Jan. 2004, H4S has rescued over 7,700 dogs and puppies. We trabsport as many as we can get into other no-kill rescues in NY and NJ, and also adopt out as many as we can handle, each month. We average a population of 35 adoptables each month, as well as 35 permanent 'sanctuary residents', mostly older beagles and hounds. It has become my life's work, and I LOVE what I do. I just WISH ALL counties everywhere had a FREE spay/neuter clinic, so 'rescue' wouldn't be a necessity.
