Marion County Humane Society

Iowa
50138
marioncountyhumane@gmail.com(641) 828-7387
Our mission is to humanely care for homeless pets, return them to their current owners, or adopt them to new loving homes. We will educate the public about responsible pet ownership & the importance of spaying & neutering their pets. Marion County Humane Society was founded in November 1986 operating out of the former city dog pound. Through the years they have returned lost pets to their owners, educated the public of the importance of spaying & neutering , & seen a major decline in the number of abandoned pets. The volunteers have placed over 5000 unwanted dogs & cats. In October 2000 the volunteers made a decision to close the MCHS. The facility had detireoted beyond repair. In June 2008 after raising over $230,000 the MCHS opened the doors of their new facility.

Warren County Humane Society McMinnville, TN

P.O. Box 111
Smartt
Tennessee

hswarrenco@hotmail.com
The Warren County Tennessee Humane Society has been helping abused, neglected and unwanted animals since 1979. We have helped over one hundred dogs just since Christmas 2009, but the humane society has helped thousands of animals over the years. We have rescued dogs from the Animal Control facility, from owners surrendering their dogs, from dogs that were dumped and lost and from those that are abused and neglected. Our rescued dogs and cats go to great homes here in Tennessee and across the country. We give them their vaccinations, have them spayed or neutered, and in the case of out of state rescues we transport them to their new homes. These dogs and cats are now in their new forever homes where they are enjoying life going from certain death to living a life full of love.

Camp Papillon Adoption & Rescue Inc

128 Brainerd Lane
Stroudsburg
Pennsylvania
18360
info-team@camppapillon.org(570) 801-6166
Camp Papillon is a non-profit, no-kill 501c3 animal rescue group dedicated to giving all homeless animals a place to call home. All of our animals are currently housed in foster homes, we don't have an actual location for housing the animals we rescue. These foster families are made up of dedicated volunteers who open their homes to dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that are in need of a place to live until they can be adopted. This allows the fosters to evaluate the animals and determine how they interact with people, other dogs, cats, etc. so we can place them in their forever homes. In some cases, the animals are ready for adoption upon entering our rescue. Others need some training or have behavioral issues that need to be addressed before we put them up for adoption. Many shelters would have euthanized dogs that they deem unadoptable, but not us. The foster situation is the best way to be sure these animals are well socialized with people and, most times, with other animals. Camp Papillon covers ALL the costs associated with fostering our animals from vet care to food, toys, treats, etc. Our fosters just supply the love and affection to the animals they take in.

Parke Vermillion County Humane Society

1884 S. State Road 63
Indiana
47854
pvchs@joink.com(765) 492-3540
Established in 1991, the Parke Vermillion County Humane Society is a non-profit private organization committed to the education of the public in the humane treatment of all animals, the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, and the importance of animal population control through the promotion of spaying and neutering. PVCHS has been helping the animals in Parke and Vermillion Counties, Indiana, since April of 1991. The shelter was built in 2000 and opened in late November, 2000. We provide an animal shelter that accepts stray animals and owner surrendered animals. Once the animals have been vaccinated and checked medically, we offer them for adoption. We work hard to find placement for every adoptable animal, either through adoption or placement with a rescue organization, that comes to our facility.
