FIGHT LIKE A CHAMP ANIMAL ADVOCATE ARMY RESCUE

South Carolina
29340
flac.shawna.y@outlook.com(864) 300-2033
EIN# 84-1846620 We are an animal advocacy group/dog rescue, based in the Upstate of South Carolina. The horrific case of an abused dog brought this group to life. His name is Champ, a Mastiff-mix who was found chained to a tree, severely emaciated, and near-death in Laurens County, SC. Our members, from across the US and around the world, have come together to fight for Champ and all abused animals. A new non-profit, however, our group has been operating for a little over a year, with a steady 4,600 member following. As a group, we’ve done some exciting things in our short existence. A few of our highlights include; a highly successful email campaign to have charges in the case of Champ, upgraded to a felony against his abuser, a demonstration outside the Laurens County Courthouse. Fight Like A Champ was immensely involved in South Carolina Senate bill S.105, The Animal Welfare Bill with Humane Society of the United States on Humane Lobby Day at the Statehouse in Columbia, SC. We work tirelessly, attending any county council meetings we can get on the agenda for. Our group was utilized to help pass tethering ordinances in both Spartanburg and Greenville counties. In addition to running our own rescue and advocacy work, we’ve helped numerous private citizens obtain spay/neuter services through our friends at SPEAK FOR ANIMALS. We LOVE to help our friends in the rescue community in any way we can. Whether it's through fostering for them, helping them out with a food donation, or helping raise funds for specific special needs animals. We like to help those who help others. By working together we can help more, do more , be more effective advocates for the animals we represent. We “liberated” a Husky who’d spent the entirety of his four years chained to a tree in Lyman, SC. We’re happy to report he's been successfully vetted including neuter and is being adopted by his foster family. We specialize in orphaned bottle puppies, but have a strong passion for pit bulls and black dogs too. All medical care is provided for all rescue dogs including but not limited to, spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, flea and heartworm preventative. We currently have seventeen dogs in the custody of our rescue. We have big plans for the future as well. With our 501c3, we will have the ability to do so much more for the community. The establishment of a “pop-up pet food bank’, is one of our dreams. We believe that helping people in need with what seems so small to us, can actually help keep a pet in a home and out of a shelter. Through our “pop-up pet food bank’, we plan to distribute educational and information handouts containing information on other available community services for pet owners, spay and neuter info, vaccination and vet info, and how to report animal abuse. In our wildest dreams, a building where we would house more animals pulled from “high kill” shelters and enough funds to feed and vet them while they search for forever homes. Thank you for your interest in our passion for saving lives. We appreciate your love and support. You can follow our advocacy adventures on our Facebook page or join our facebook group. For Kitty's Sake

Sicklerville
New Jersey

Hello@forkittyssake.org
For Kitty’s Sake is an all-volunteer, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization. We work within our community to provide a safe haven, medical support, foster placement and adoptive homes for cats in need. We depend upon our foster parents, board members, and volunteers at the cat adoption center at the PetSmart in Mantua, to care for our cats while they await adoption. We have developed a partnership with local veterinarians at Clementon Animal Hospital who work with us on a case-by-case basis, and who continue to impress us with their commitment to our mission. We prioritize the health and well-being of each and every cat that comes to us and are proud to be one of the few local groups who will invest the time and attention to making sure that all of our cats go to homes in which they will be loved and well-cared for for the rest of their lives! Our goal is to ensure a quality life for each and every one of our cats.

Appalachian Peace Paws Rescue

Westover
West Virginia
26501
about@appalachianpeacepaws.org
Appalachian Peace Paws Rescue is a small group of volunteers who work together to change the lives of every animal that we meet! We believe in educating the public on the importance of spay/neuter, TNR, handling special needs animals, and what to do when they find an orphaned animal. We do presentations to groups wanting to learn more, classes, and other venues. We believe in implementing a TNR program for community cats to reduce the number of homeless animals in shelters and the number of euthanasia's done by shelters. We believe in rescuing and rehabilitating animals to get them ready for adoption. Our animals come from owner surrenders, full kill shelters, abandoned on the streets, feral colonies, and neglectful situations.
