Rottie Aid Rottweiler Rescue

PO Box 620730
Colorado
80162
RottieAid@aol.com
Rottie Aid is a rescue that focuses on pulling dogs from local Colorado shelters and rehome them. We do take in owner relinquishes when we can as well. Most of the dogs we get are dogs with some issue or another so need experienced Rottweiler owners to apply. Our goal is to be a resource for the local shelters and Rottweiler owners to come to when needed. We are a VERY small rescue so we are limited on what we can do. Always looking for experienced Rottweiler owners to become a foster home for us.

Southeast Alaska Organization for Animals

Po Box 33226
Alaska
99803
contact@aksofa.org
SOFA was organized in December 2012 to combat pet overpopulation, abandonment, homelessness, abuse, and neglect in the Southeast Alaska region. Although based out of Ketchikan and Juneau, our mission extends to SE AK communities where limited or no resources are available. Our focus in the first few years is improving access to basic veterinary services (including spay/neuter and vaccination) in communities that do not have (regular) veterinarians. In addition, we rescue pets -- especially from outlying SE AK communities without an available shelter or rescue -- and place them into responsible adoptive homes. We also work to transport adoptable pets from communities with high euthanasia rates to communities with larger populations and/or adoption rates. Our long-term goal is to support local, grassroots efforts to make communities self-sustaining in terms of animal welfare.

I started this organization in Aug. 2013. I began in rescue transport and then because the sole volunteer at our shelter as rescue/transport coordinator. I decided to make my dream a reality by starting my own rescue because of the homeless pet problem in our country. We all have to do our part if we want to help this problem.

Emmet County Animal Shelter

1703 7th Ave South
Iowa
51334
emmetcountyanimalshelter@live.com(712) 209-1288
We live in a primarily rural area with a 50% poverty level and 40% non Caucasian/transient population. Due to the farmer mentality or disposable mentality of our area many pets find them selves homeless due to no fault of their own. We take in animals that are neglected, abandon, injured or just unwanted. We rehabilitate them and then re-home them through our adoption process. We have been solely foster based since 2010 and are currently building our new facility. We do it all with volunteers and we do it because we love it! The animals deserve better and we try our best to offer them that by doing what we can, when we can, the best we can, with what we have and with all our heart.

I am a 53 year old woman who lost my Hoover to a tragic accident and couldn't get any help during his search from any locals or shelters. I vowed this would never happen to anyone else. Started with fostering and have owned my own rescue for almost 3 years. I take in any and all breeds and can house between 30 and 60, depending on size. I love to help pregnant dogs.
