Below, you’ll find a list of just some of the things we do - 1.We walk and socialize the dogs on a daily basis-365 days a year! 2.We pay for spay/neuter, DHLLP, hw test, rabies, bordatella so dogs can go to a rescue ($125) 3.We pay for heartworm treatment for dogs that need treatment. 4.We pay for pull fees. 5.We pay for dogs that go to the vet when they are sick. 6.We have given money to local rescues that pull dogs from the Mahoning county dog pound. 7.We have paid for gas cards and helped transport the dogs so they can go to their forever homes. 8.We have paid for boarding while the dogs wait for transport. 9.We supply food to people who foster our dogs.

The mission of the Humane Society of South Mississippi is to advocate the bond between animals and humans, provide the highest quality services and compassion to the animals entrusted to our care, reduce companion animal overpopulation, and increase the save-rate of animals in our community. HSSM is a progressive open-admission shelter, which takes in about 12,000 homeless pets each year. In addition to housing the homeless, HSSM provides 10,000 spay/neuter surgeries through our Louise Fenner Claiborne Spay Neuter Clinic, and microchips countless others through our outreach efforts. HSSM's Board of Directors adopted an initiative, entitled Countdown to Zero, to end the euthanasia of healthy and treatable pets in our community by 2015.

Wags and Whiskers Animal Rescue of MN

315 4th Street
Minnesota
55024
wagswhiskersmn@gmail.com
Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and finding forever homes for stray, abandoned and surrendered dogs in high kill shelters. We are a small, volunteer run organization. All of our animals listed are in foster homes waiting to be adopted and because of this, we get to know the animals' personalities very well and use this information to match them to an appropriate home. We do not have a physical shelter. This rescue is not funded by public funds nor does it receive many donations so it is dependent on adoption fees to keep operating. We provide all needed supplies and cover medical costs of the foster while it awaits a forever home.

STAR, Saving the Animals of Rowan is a 501c3 organization committed to improving the conditions for the abandoned dogs of Rowan County, KY. Our few members work to find safe and loving homes or rescues for dogs that find themselves in the Rowan County Dog Pound. STAR members are dedicated to reducing the number of dogs euthanized due to the overcrowded conditions of this rural shelter. STAR is not the dog pound. We are a VERY small group of caring people who save pound dogs. Our goal is to get dogs out of the pound and to the safety of a rescue or a new home.
