The dog is a domesticated mammal known for its loyalty, intelligence, and companionship. Descended from wolves, dogs come in a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. They are social animals, often kept as pets, working animals, or service animals. Dogs communicate through barking, body language, and facial expressions. Their keen senses, especially smell and hearing, make them valuable in roles such as hunting, herding, guarding, and assisting people with disabilities.

From high kill shelters to foster homes to caring adoptive families, Diamonds in the Ruff handles every aspect of the rescue process. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive necessary medical treatment. Foster homes are used to provide sanctuary and ensure a successful placement. To place pets in need in foster and forever homes. Provide education and training to volunteers and those who foster and/or adopt. We do it because there are so many good pets that deserve a good home, and do not deserve to be euthanized.

4 Paws 4 Life rescue pulls dogs from HIGH KILL shelters and places them in preapproved foster homes until we can find the dog a qualified permanent home. We rehome all breeds and all ages of dogs. Pet overpopulation and shelters who euthanize dogs are the main 2 reasons that we need to help these orphaned pets who can not help themselves.

We are a 501c3, non-profit, all volunteer animal rescue and welfare organization. We are dedicated to ending the explosion of homeless pets in this area; through low cost (sometimes no cost) spay/neuter, public education/awareness, rescue/adoption and support for feral/stray cats and their caregivers. We do this because there is an epidemic of abused, neglected, abandoned animals throughout Central Ohio. As a compassionate organization we are striving to end this suffering for them. Get them medical care, food and if necessary, a new home.
