Our mission is to provide animals with loving care and lasting homes, to partner with communities striving to do the same, and to advance our no-kill legacy. We accomplish our mission by transferring cats and dogs to our facilities from public shelters in the Bay Area and beyond when they are in danger of being euthanized due to space or financial limitations. Pets In Need has shelters in Redwood City and Palo Alto. We have owned and operated our Redwood City shelter since 1993, and in 2019 we began operating the Palo Alto Animal Shelter in partnership with the City of Palo Alto.

Our mission is to rescue animals that have been left behind in apartment homes. We hope to prevent further abandonment by educating and providing resources for underprivileged communities in pet care.

We are a no-kill nonprofit animal rescue that houses companion animals on our grounds and in foster homes until we find them their forever homes. I have a masters in business administration and took over running the organization after our past Director passed away. I was a volunteer worker and animal care provider here for 2 years prior to joining the board and taking over running the organization.

At pAwareness Foundation, we are a dedicated team of animal enthusiasts who have come together to make a positive difference in the lives of animals in our community. Our mission is to help and protect animals in need regardless of species, and to spread awareness through education, community outreach and adoptions; in an effort to promote compassion and empathy towards all living beings! We take in abandoned and surrendered animals, provide them food and medical care, offer training and behavioral support as needed, place them in loving foster homes for decompression and evaluation, and eventually find them happy forever homes suitable to their specific needs. Through our comprehensive animal rescue services we strive to raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption and responsible pet ownership. We provide education and training support to potential and final adopters, to make the adoption process as pleasant and successful as possible. We have helped dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, guinea piggies, piggie piggies, birds and reptiles. We are not opposed to horses, emus or even dolphins, if eventually we have the facilities and can accommodate their needs. We believe that no one is left behind in a pay it forward world!

Our purpose is to make a positive impact on the lives of animals by rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding them loving homes or providing them sanctuary. Through education and advocacy, we strive to foster responsible ownership and ensure the well-being of every animal, creating a compassionate world where all creatures are cherished. ACTIVITIES 1. Animal Rescue Operations: This involves actively rescuing animals from situations of neglect, abuse, abandonment, or natural disasters. 2. Rehabilitation Programs: Implementing programs to rehabilitate rescued animals physically, emotionally, and behaviorally so they can thrive and be ready for adoption. 3. Rehoming Services: Facilitating the adoption process to find suitable, loving homes for animals that have been rehabilitated. 4. Sanctuary Facilities: Providing a permanent home and care for animals that are unable to be rehomed due to age, health issues, or behavioral problems. 5. Promotion of Responsible Ownership: Educating the public about the responsibilities of pet ownership, including proper care, training, spaying/neutering, and the commitment involved.

To serve the community through animal sheltering, pet placement programs, humane education, and animal law enforcement. Provide responsive, efficient, and high-quality animal control services that preserves public safety. Promote responsible pet ownership, educate the public on city ordinances relating to animals, and safe interactions.

I am Lori Moses the president. I run the daily operations of the rescue. I started in 2018 fostering fire another rescue, once my kids were grown I knew I wanted to start my own rescue. I have always loved animals, the German Shepherd has always been my breed. My experience with them is the foundation on which the rescue rests.

We are an all-volunteer, all-foster home based, not-for-profit, no kill animal rescue organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for animals in the D/FW area. We provide temporary foster care and medical attention for homeless animals until permanent homes can be found.

We started 5 years ago this Friday. As of today we have rescued 1600 dogs! We are a smaller operation. Our rescue property is includes housing for our Director and Animal Welfare Manager so we are onsite with our dogs 24/7. We started out of a need for additional resources in our county especially space for sanctuary dogs. We do it because dogs in need are our passion. We eat, breathe and sleep dogs! This rescue is our happy place!
