The Ark's mission statement is: * To rescue as many homeless animals as possible. * To provide all veterinary care for each animal to include spaying/neutering before adoption. * To maintain a no kill policy except for reasons of mercy or dangerous temperament. * To promote humane treatment of animals. The Ark provides all veterinarian preventatives to include: juvenile spay/neuter, shelter, food and a loving “at home” environment for rescued animals while they wait to be adopted into a new loving home. The Ark operates solely on donations and fundraisers and receives no city, county, state or federal funding. The Ark also has no paid employees. Volunteers from the community help out at the shelter caring for the rescued animals as well as returning telephone calls. If not for caring citizens, the Ark could not operate. The Ark serves our community by: * Rescuing sick, abandoned and injured animals * Constructing and maintaining a no-kill animal shelter * Rescuing as many animals as possible from the City Animal Control Shelter before they are put to death * Starting the first juvenile animal spay/neuter program to ensure ALL animals adopted from the ARK are spayed or neutered before adoption

Established in 1969, GHHS is financially supported by generous private donors, grants, and local partnerships. Our mission is to use rescue, training, adoption, education, and advocacy to ensure the humane treatment and welfare of all animals.

I have always been a huge animal lover. I used to work for a pitbull rescue in Georgia as a kennel manager for a few years and I recently relocated to Alabama. Sadly, this county has a huge number of stray and abandoned animals and a lack of resources for rescue and veterinary care. There is no city or county animal control facilities to help the animals. There is one other rescue Randolph County Animal Shelter which is a private rescue that houses about 30 animals at a given time. With the support of my mother and sister I have the opportunity to start and run a fantastic rescue on our family property where I can do what I love and make a difference rescuing dogs and finding them forever loving homes! This small rural area really needs the help. The number of animals dumped on the roads here is horrible.

We are a small local non-profit organization helping the local abused, neglected, and abandoned dogs.

As a voice for animals, our vision is to bring together like minded individuals to dramatically reduce the number of unwanted and neglected animals in Marshall County, Alabama. Our commitment to these animals is to provide the very best possibility for their future life to ensure they will forever be loved. Alabama ranks in the top5 for killing healthy animals in the US. I am volunteer as Gwen works full time & cares for family. I foster/adopt/transport/create forms etc.

We are a foster based rescue along the gulf coast who takes in the abandoned, abused, sick, stray, etc from shelters and individuals in the community. We vet the animals and get them healthy and then adopt out into an approved home through application, references and home visits.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer-run organization who prides itself on raising healthy, well-adjusted, socialized cats and assisting in helping them find their intended forever-family. From rescue to forever home, each animal is hand-raised, cage-free, fully vetted, and fostered in the homes of our loving volunteers. We encourage utilizing the individual talents and skills of each volunteer to foster a collaborative environment that educates, motivates, and nurtures feline advocacy in our community.

We are a 501c3 formed in 2013 to rescue from our high shelters before euthanasia, take in abandoned, and unwanted animals and find them forever homes.
