About We give dogs the most important ride of their life. Founded in 2012, our volunteer-based charity has transported close to 2,500 dogs across North America and internationally that are at the threat of being euthanized. Working in partnership with shelters, we identify and transport dogs on buses, cars and planes to pre-qualified homes in Alberta and the Eastern Region of B.C. When our dogs have adjusted from their journey and settled into their foster homes, they are either adopted by the foster or become available for adoption. We are addressing an international crisis about shelter over-populations, owner dog surrenders and discriminatory breed specific legislation. We believe that every dog deserves a new leash on life. We consistently seek fosters, funds, partners and volunteers. Registered charity #825476732RR0001 Our Vision Our vision is of a world where all pets are well cared for in loving homes for life & away from the threat of Breed Specific Legislation - because of how they look. We aim to achieve this vision by: Promoting good animal welfare and responsible pet ownership by providing support, guidance and education to members of the public. Working with many organizations to help animals, whoever and wherever the need is. Providing the best possible care for all animals. Setting standards of animal welfare in Canada, the USA and beyond. Our Values We strive to end the suffering of companion animals everywhere. We aim to find the right home for every animal in our care and will not quit until every animal is placed. We endeavour to support anyone who needs help in caring for their pets. Life happens and we understand. We believe the emotional and physical well-being of every animal we look after is paramount and is our first consideration. We value our volunteers, supporters, and our partners. We know without you, there would be no "us". We pride ourselves on being open, honest, and dedicated in every aspect of our work.

About Our Rescue Group We are a 100% not for profit society and is volunteer run and are located in the Edmonton capital region. We are a foster home placement rescue there is no facility to visit. We work closely with several local rescue groups in Alberta. We work with rescue shelters in the United States, and we will transport toy and small breed dogs under 20 pounds that are about to be euthanized, then place the dogs in foster homes until a forever family is found. We will provide care for toy and small breed dogs who's owners are no longer able to care for them, by placing them in stable foster homes until a forever home is found.

We are a group of friends that dedicate ourselves to saving dogs and cats, mostly dogs, that are found abandoned, starving, or in kill shelters or homeless street dogs or cats. We find pets we know are often abandoned in areas around Alberta, Canada, particularly the Morely Reserve, where calgarians often abandoned their pets, which end up breeding, leaving many puppies to starve, riddled with parasites, lonely and depressed, and freezing in the winter in far below zero. We rescue them because we care about their suffering. After rescue, spay and vaccinations, we post their photo and find them a good home with people wanting to adopt a pet. We help match a pet's personality, temperament, breed and size to the desires of an adoptee, and offer professional counseling for adopters needing additional help after adoption. We often help out other rescue organizations, and post photos of dogs they have at their shelter for adoption, and foster pets from their overcrowded shelter. We also help with more difficult dogs to adopt that are in a shelter, and place them in foster care to rehabilitate them so they are more easily ready for adoption.

We are a small no-kill animal shelter running on a shoestring! We serve Pincher Creek and area but many of our animals have been adopted to other provinces and occasionally to USA. We are a non profit organisation run by volunteers with one paid member of staff. We have facilities for 6 dogs in winter, 9 in summer and are often overcrowded. We have accommodation for 9 cats but deal with up to 40 at times. We use foster homes where possible. Our facility is sadly inadequate for the growing town and we are trying to raise found for a new building. I am President, webmaster, fund raiser and general dogsbody. I do it because I love animals and would like to see every lost, abused or unwanted animal in a forever home.
