PAL was founded in 1992 by Yolo County community members interested in community service, pets, and maintaining seniors’ quality of life. Originally, PAL focused on placement services for seniors looking for the right pet or to place pets they could no longer keep, arranging visits for seniors who enjoyed animals but could no longer keep a pet, and advocating for seniors who wanted to keep their pets when moving into a new residence. Over the years, PAL has restructured to focus on strengthening the human-animal bond among all community members.

Delaney's Dog, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, is a volunteer run, all breed dog rescue serving the Los Angeles & surrounding SoCal communities. We are dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of dogs in danger whether it be from the city and county shelters or from out on the streets. We rescue, rehabilitate, care give and thoroughly screen adoption applicants for the proper placement of rescued dogs into their "right" forever home. We strongly believe there is a right person for every dog and a right dog for every person. Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment. All rescued animals are placed in nurturing, loving and screened foster homes while they await placement into their permanent homes. We assist dogs in danger without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Our requirement for rescue is need, not breed. Our requirement for placement is the "right" home NOT just any home.

About VHS Valley Humane Society has worked to save and improve the lives of Tri-Valley companion animals since 1987. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our programs and services are made possible by the generosity of private donors. We receive no government funds, tax dollars, or money from national humane organizations. Contributions of all sizes matter greatly, and we use them wisely! Our Vision A world in which every animal is loved and every person knows the love of an animal. Our Mission Valley Humane Society (VHS) creates a brighter future for cats and dogs by encouraging and strengthening the bond between people and pets. VHS rescues and rehabilitates companion animals, champions responsible caretaking, shares pets’ soothing affections with people in need of comfort, and supports and preserves existing pet-guardian relationships.

We are a 501(c)3 public nonprofit organization equine sanctuary and welfare program. We offer community service programs in the summer, adoptions, and sanctuary placement. We are an Adoptions Partner with the Ventura, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and San Bernadino County departments of Animal Care / Control and Animal Services. We are a member of The Homes For Horses Coalition, the Humane Society of the United States Safe Stalls Network, the ASPCA Horse Action Team, and the HSUS Forever Foundation Training Program. We have Platinum Seal of Transparency on Candid.com/GuideStar.com. We are located in Simi Valley, CA, and operate a satellite rescue with all horses privately fostered and/or boarded. We do this because we believe in the sanctity and dignity of senior equines and equines with special needs; we value them and all they have to offer their human partners, whether or not they are rideable.
