SDRD is a state licensed 501(c)3 non-profit no kill dog rescue and group foster home located in Topeka, KS. It is our goal to network with other local rescues and shelters to save dogs that are at risk for being euthanized due to lack of space. We are committed to educating the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying and neutering, along with the dangers of purchasing a dog from a pet store or puppy mill.

We are a full-service veterinarian who every now and then has low-income clients who come in and can't afford care for life-threatening conditions. These owners will many times choose to relinquish the pet and we will get them back to health and try to find them a family. On average, we have 3-4 pets up for adoption at any given time.

I started this organization in Aug. 2013. I began in rescue transport and then because the sole volunteer at our shelter as rescue/transport coordinator. I decided to make my dream a reality by starting my own rescue because of the homeless pet problem in our country. We all have to do our part if we want to help this problem.

The Kansas Humane Society is a private, non-profit organization that receives nearly 18,000 animals each year from citizens unable or unwilling to care for them. We receive no local or state tax dollars, United Way funding, or support from the Humane Society of the United States and depend entirely on private donations and adoption fees.

We are 2 stay-at-home moms, with our husbands and children that started and run this rescue. Our mission statement is: Crossroads Dog Rescue specializes in the rescue and placement of abused, unwanted and abandoned companion dogs. We never discriminate on the basis of health, age or breed. By involving and educating the community, Crossroads Dog Rescue works to raise the public's awareness of the plight of homeless animals as well as realizing the benefits of adopting an animal in need. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive any and all medical treatment before they are placed in carefully screened homes.

Our purpose is to help homeles pets find forever homes. We fully vet our pets prior to adoption. We also promote spay/neuter and offer occasional low cost spay/neuter clinics. A vet is on our board of directors and offers discount services.

The mission of Allen County Animal Rescue Facility is to provide a safe and care-giving environment where animals can reside and eventually become adoptable.

We believe that: Animals are capable of pleasure and pain, and are worthy of human compassion. Humans have a moral responsibility to treat animals humanely. People want to provide lifelong appropriate care for their animals. Companion animals enhance the quality of human life. Violence, cruelty and neglect toward animals is related to violence, cruelty and neglect toward humans. Promoting compassion toward animals encourages people to treat each other with respect and kindness. Humane communities attract law-abiding, responsible citizens that contribute to the overall quality of life for all.

Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a small group of independent rescuers and individuals who have an affinity for cats! We specialize in kittens that are too young to thrive in the traditional shelter environment, kittens that need extra socialization, and Siamese and Maine Coon mixes. Because of the alarming number of cats that are euthanized in shelters and cats that are left to fend for themselves on the streets, we strongly support spay/neuter and responsible pet ownership. Our goal is to find a lifelong match for the adopter and the cat or kitten. We have dog, cat and kid friendly animals available, as well as special needs kittens and cats.
