We are a small group trying to reduce the number of stray and unwanted cats in the area.

Founded in 2007, Paws for Life Rescue (PFL) is a 501(c)3, tax-exempt, non-profit animal welfare organization run by a group of hardworking, dedicated volunteers. Paws for Life is a 5-star certified, all-breed dog and cat rescue, located in southeast Michigan. Also a top-rated nonprofit, PFL has the highest rating, platinum status, from GuideStar. PFL rescues homeless, neglected, abused and abandoned dogs, cats, puppies and kittens from overflowing shelters in southeast Michigan. PFL does not believe that time or money are acceptable reasons to end a life, ever. PFL uses a network of loving foster care homes where animals stay until their forever homes are found. PFL’s goal is to find the best match possible for the homeless pets in our care. PFL operates under the philosophies of Do No Harm, the Five Freedoms, force-free and fear-free, no breed discrimination - every animal is an individual, and no barriers, no roadblocks to finding every pet a home. Our organization focuses on humane legislation and education initiatives to permanently improve the lives, safety and future of companion animals in Michigan and surrounding areas. PFL has no paid staff and receives no government support. Every penny donated goes directly to the animals in our care, paying vet bills and purchasing needed supplies. In addition to rescue, PFL devotes resources to numerous local and national humane campaigns, such as Save Them All, End Dogfighting, Community Cat TNR and Eliminating Puppy Mills, as well as participation in community and national Disaster Animal Response Teams. ​ Paws for Life is also a proud member of Michigan Pet Alliance, the state's only association for animal welfare organizations, people who care about pets and pet owners.

Fig and Friends is a pet rescue that helps cats and dogs, kittens and puppies in whatever capacity we can. We take in pregnant mamas, bottle babies and those with medical needs as well as any others that might need us. We strive to give them a chance at a better life.

We are vegan caretakers of a goat and cat rescue that provide for animals in need that come from a variety of situations and adopt them out to their forever homes when they are ready and provide sanctuary to the ones not adoptable.

A foster-based rescue that saves dogs from unsafe situations and provides the care and compassion they need until finding the forever loving homes they deserve. Community outreach with resources and education are provided to those in need.

We are a brand new rescue hoping to help improve the lives of stray animals and animals in overcrowded shelters. We provide excellent vet care and do our best to ensure that our animals go into great homes.

I am the President and Founder. We Provide Low Cost Vaccines and Spay And Neuter with A Partner Agency Called C-Snip. We provide Animal Surrender, Animal rehoming, Spay and Neuter Vouchers, Pet food Bank. Spay & Neuter Awareness and pull from local shelters

Mission Statemet Malinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue, Inc. (MAD) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which is dedicated to rescuing Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherds who have found themselves without a home (surrendered, discarded, abused, neglected or impounded). MAD does not have a physical location and is operated by compassionate, like-minded professionals who volunteer their time and resources to help save and care for the Malinois and Dutch Shepherds. All animals that are accepted by MAD are spayed or neutered, given medical attention and rehabilitation, as needed, and placed with foster homes until their health and evaluations are completed and they are ready to be placed in their loving permanent homes.

The mission of the organization shall be to provide excellent care and find good homes for our animal guests: to promote responsible pet guardianship: to work to end the overpopulation of feral cats as well as all pets: and to run an organized, efficient shelter with a no-kill policy. To provide help and assistance to animals in Iosco County who are lost, neglected or suffering cruelty, to make our county a safe and healthy place for all animals to live.
