PupStarz Rescue is a dedicated animal welfare organization committed to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs and cats from public shelters who are at high risk of euthanasia, as well as those in danger of abuse or neglect. Since our founding in 2015, we have saved over 4,800 animals, thanks to our passionate team of volunteers and foster families. We are a foster-based rescue, which means we rely on our community of volunteers to open their homes and hearts to animals in need. Every animal in our care receives proper medical attention, including spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping. Our mission is to place these animals in loving, responsible, and committed forever homes, ensuring that the adoption is a perfect match for both the pet and their new family. We do what we do because we believe every animal deserves a chance at a happy, healthy life. Our commitment to their welfare doesn’t end with adoption; we offer ongoing support to adopters, including positive training techniques and open communication to ensure a smooth transition. Best Friends East Coast Satellite Programs work collaboratively with multiple city shelters, local animal welfare organizations and passionate individuals to save the lives of pets in shelters in along the East Coast and the surrounding areas.

Hunter Hollow is the only Bunny exclusive shelter based rescue in Central New York. We are only 6 years old but will serve over 300 bunnies this year.

We are dedicated to dogs in this area only. We don't pull from out of state or adopt out of state. We have a preference for hospice, super seniors and medical cases but will take a dog if we have a foster available that matches the dog's needs.

I'm a retired single lady that came to visit Rosarito Mexico 6 years ago. The stray dog situation made me want to help. I started Tragic To Magic. I'm a small organization but have homed thousands of dogs.

We are a foster based rabbit rescue. We take homeless rabbits into foster homes, have them spayed/neutered, train them on how to be house rabbits, find loving forever homes.

Ocean Hill Cats’ goal is to humanely and safely reduce the huge overpopulation of stray and feral cats living on the streets and increase the quality of life of those who stay outside. Female kittens can get pregnant as early as at 4 months old and have 4-5 litters per year! That means most kittens don’t make it, and the ones that do are forced to fight for food, territory, mates… and repeat the cycle. We do our part by participating in trap, neuter, return (TNR) program – we use humane traps to catch feral cats and take them to the vet. They get fixed (spayed or neutered), vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed and returned outdoors to the same spot where they were trapped. Each returned cat gets an “ear tip” (a tiny tip of their ear is removed during spay/neuter surgery) to communicate to other rescuers that they’re already fixed, and don’t need to be trapped again. After the release, we coordinate ongoing care (food, water, shelter) for the community cats by tending to the cat colonies ourselves or working with volunteers. If the street cats within our care get sick or injured, we take them in and ensure they get appropriate veterinary care. Where needed and/or possible, we will do our best to find homes for street cats - for example friendly community cats living in dangerous locations, sick cats who can’t survive outside or abandoned pets. We also support low-income and vulnerable residents who own cats as pets by facilitating access (scheduling, transport, recovery) to low-cost veterinary & spay/neuter appointments. We also work on raising awareness about cat overpopulation in Brooklyn via social media and in person conversations with neighbors.
