We are a small, home based rescue formed by me and a few friends. We try to foster any dog that arrives if they are not directly adopted. We want dogs to know love as soon as they leave the shelter.

Passion 4 Paws is a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue facility, adoption center, and sanctuary. Our organization is staffed entirely by volunteers, and our efforts are supported through donations and the generosity of animal lovers from within the community. Our focus is on cat and dog rescue, primarily cats. We have been known to take in the occasional bird, rabbit, turtle, and yes, even a goose. Mission Statement Our Mission is to rescue homeless, abandoned, neglected, or abused cats and dogs. By working with committed volunteers, veterinarians, and trainers, we nurture, provide medical care, and rehabilitation to these animals while providing a safe and loving "cage-free" environment for as long as it takes to find them adoptive homes.

VT Dog Rescue is a non-profit canine rescue focused on saving the Underdog. The sweet dogs who are passed over day after day simply because they are not perfect. Who is an underdog? - older dogs who are wise and love to snuggle - tri-pawed dogs who are happily enjoying life with 3 legs - shy dogs who need a little extra love to help them build confidence - dogs who may limp or have a physical limitation that humans see as a flaw, but they accept with dignity - dogs who are missing an eye and have adapted to navigate their world The Underdogs have, against all odds, retained their ability to be loyal and trusting companions who love us unconditionally. We believe the Underdogs, just like other shelter dogs, deserve to be rescued and placed in loving, responsible homes where they can shine.

We are a very small group of volunteers who have made it our mission to find loving suitable homes for (otherwise) displaced, abandoned, or stray retrievers with our partners in the south. The dogs have either been relinquished by their owners, found as strays, or abandoned at the shelter door. It is irrelevant to us how they have managed to find themselves at these kill shelters in these circumstances. It is only in their best interest that we try in earnest to get them out. All of our volunteers have been involved in the rescue and placing of dogs for years. All of our volunteers have worked with reputable rescues in the past. We are committed to doing our part in decreasing the numbers of dog with golden personalities put down at southern shelters. We also work with local Vermont Humane Society's an individuals. Golden Huggs is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization

We are a group of volunteers that save dogs from high kill shelters mainly n the south where there are very low adoptions and high euthanasia rates. We also accept dogs who are in need of medical treatment and who would otherwise die without that treatment. Our mission is to place those homeless animals in excellent forever homes in the North East.

The Frontier Animal Society is primarily a volunteer organization that has been in operation since 1993. In the past the organization was run strictly out of foster homes but now we have a wonderful shelter in Northern Vermont. Our primary goals are to find loving, permanent homes for pets and to help control the pet overpopulation by having all the animals we adopt out spayed or neutered. We also hold a once-a-month spay/neuter clinic for cats. We have had thousands of cats and kittens spayed or neutered at our clinics.

Good Karma Rescue Inc. is a private charitable non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Good Karma Rescue is a small group of volunteers that love animals. Our mission is to rescue, provide refuge, and ultimately to find permanent loving homes for abandoned, stray and neglected animals where they will receive a lifetime commitment of loving care, including appropriate gentle training, exercise, and regular veterinary care. Whenever possible we also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes with their guardians. We are located in Central Vermont, and work with local and national organizations to help prevent needless euthanasia, and companion animal overpopulation. Good Karma rescue supports early age spay/neuter as the most practical and humane way to prevent companion animal overpopulation and needless euthanasia. All dogs and puppies adopted from Good Karma rescue prior to going to their forever home are spayed or neutered. Our organization acknowledges the serious problem of overpopulation of companion animals in this country, and works to prevent unwanted litters. All Good Karma are housed in foster homes where they are provided with attention and all are seen by a veterinarian to insure, as much as is possible, that they are in good health before adoption. All companion animals are spayed or neutered, brought up-to-date on shots, and screened for parasites before being placed in their new homes. When time permits, our dogs are also housetrained and taught basic obedience. All Good Karma animals are evaluated for temperament, and personality. This helps us to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future guardians. If you are looking for a specific type of dog and do not see it on our website, please email us. We work closely with other rescue groups and animal shelters and may be able to assist you in finding your next furry friend.
