There are 5 founders of Pet Helpers, Inc since September 24. 2008 we have been helping in adoptions, some spay and neutering. rescues. There was a fire in a retirement home and one of our board members was there and the residents did not have anywhere to take their animals. We pulled together as a group and fostered all the pets until the residents coudl return home. This unit had about 120 retired and disabled residents living there. All the board members and members have a huge love for animals. Most all of us have rescued pets of our own and know how important it is to express the spay and neutering.

Friends of the Four-Legged and Furry was founded in February 2007 by volunteers for the Preston County Animal Shelter. Under original leadership the group raised funds to benefit the shelter and the abandoned animals. Currently, FOTFLAF maintains a commitment to benefiting the PCAS and has also taken on cat rescuing. Adoptions are held off site at the Petco in Morgantown, WV and can be arranged privately at the foster home. FOTFLAF members are devoted to finding homes for abandoned animals as we believe strongly that companion animals are family and should not be discarded.

Paws and Whiskers is located on 25 acres surrounded by woods, we provide privacy for our companion pet. We prefer to pull from high kill shelters or shelters that use inhumane methods to kill animals. We are committed to helping pets, they have no voice, no rights, they are simply acted upon--they are killed. So many pets are abused and we hope in our small way to help these animals find a second chance in life.
