Our mission statement: o Tracy Animal Services is here to keep our community safe, to provide care to any animal in need, to support the community as a source of education and guidance, encourage spay and neutering and ultimately find homes for all adoptable, treatable, and manageable animals.

We are a rescue for retired police/military and all working breeds. I created this rescue to ensure all K9 heroes get the retirement they deserve. I work my dogs in K9 sports and my love for dogs/animals from a small child has always been my life.

Who We Are Bay Area Pet Adoptions is a non-profit, 501(c)3 No-Kill shelter, pet rescue, and adoption organization that relies on donations from the public to house, feed, and medically care for the dogs and cats taken in our adoption program. Founded in 1967 as the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Galveston County, we DBA as Bay Area Pet Adoptions and Bay Area SPCA. Our non-profit tax ID is 23-7011759. We are not operated or funded by any national animal group and must rely on contributions from the public to keep our shelter open. Donations made to national animal welfare groups do not benefit our organization or our animals. All financial contributions and in-kind donations are tax deductible. Our Mission The mission of Bay Area Pet Adoptions is to shelter companion animals that we have rescued from kill shelters/animal control facilities and individuals until permanent homes are found for them. Our adoption program strives to place the animal with a family whose lifestyle and activity level matches that of the animal. Bay Area Pet Adoptions provides education and community outreach, focusing on ways to reduce the number of unwanted companion animals and their euthanization. We educate about the daily care and responsibilities of a family pet, including the importance of spaying/neutering, proper vaccinations, and the prevention of heartworms and other parasites. We also provide information on resources available to the community for low-cost spay/neuter assistance and all other medical care. We also offer a low-cost vaccination clinic by appointment. What We Do While at our shelter all animals are given a health check by a licensed Veterinarian and are periodically checked by the same Vet for the duration of their stay. They are spayed or neutered, receive full vaccinations, are given their rabies shot, and are microchipped. All animals are on monthly heartworm and flea prevention, and are de-wormed. Our felines are FIV and FeLv negative and our dogs are tested and/or treated for heartworm disease, making them heartworm negative prior to adoption. Socialization is another key to successful adoptions and to a great life outside of our shelter. Our dogs and cats are not kept in their kennels until someone who is interested in adopting them wants to spend time with them. Our dogs and cats are socialized daily in canine play yards or feline play rooms by staff and volunteers. Daily human contact and socialization with other dogs and cats is extremely important for these animals to successfully transition into a home.

Our name says it all, PIPs’ primary focus are medical and special needs dogs that are often overlooked. We call these dogs “PIP-abled” which means perfectly imperfect. A dog that may need a wheelchair, is missing limbs, deaf, blind or in need of some extra love and care – this is our niche. While we love our PIP-abled dogs; puppies, healthy adult dogs, and seniors have our hearts as well. We are inclusive of all dogs in need.

We are a rescue made up of a handful of volunteers and a few amazing staff who care deeply to help our animals. We work endless hours to ensure proper care, income and outcomes. I am a Vice President of the board of directors.

We are a small dog rescue located in Colorado Springs. We started in 2019 with a board & two experienced foster volunteers. We believe in being a safe haven for dogs with defeated spirits with inclusion of community and education of the public.

Our founder, Lisa Biel, started this rescue early 2019 working with Mexico rescue groups to rehome the far too many stray dogs. Prior to this group, she was transporting and fostering for many of San Diego groups and saw a need for a rescue group.

CO Corgis and Friends is a 501 c3 dog Rescue (specializing in Corgis and other lowrider breeds) that was formed in late 2019 by a group of Corgi loving people who not only love and understand the Corgi breed, but love all other dogs as well. The founding members have over 100+ years of experience owning Corgis and 50+ years in Rescue. It is our pleasure to help homeless dogs in need, help struggling owners rehome their pets, and offer advice on training issues typical of this herding breed. We have been doing this for over 8 years and just continue to evolve. Our main goal is to keep cats out of our shelters so they don’t get sick and die or be euthanized. We used to hold kitties till 3-4 months and spay/neuter and send to larger rescues for store adoptions. Many of the cats we get do not do well in the stores or are skittish when we get them. So we began looking for quality homes with experienced cat owners. It seems the more we do, the less the shelters around us do. They closed their doors to intakes back early in March when the virus hit and cats are being thrown everywhere to birth and nurse kittens in the cold outdoors or wherever they can try to find safety. It is heartbreaking. Since so many new fosters have stepped up, we decided now was our time to grow. But my records are a mess. I need desperate help.

We are Tails of the Unwanted. We started this rescue group to provide dogs and cats a chance at a new start in life. Our animals go into foster homes to become acclimated in home life after leaving the chaos of the shelter environment. We love our animals like they are our own and give them the highest care possible.
