California Labradors Retrievers and More Rescue

We are a Non Profit 501(c)3 Organization operated through donated hours by our dedicated Volunteers. We rescue young and old, big and small Labradors, Boxers, Shepherds, Collies, Cattle Dogs, Pitt Bulls, and many mixed breed dogs. Your information will help us guide you toward dogs that will blend with your family situation and lifestyle. We do not adopt first come first serve but to best match. You will be adopting a RESCUED dog, one who will need continued care, support and love to overcome their past life situations. Be ready to commit time, money and resources to helping your dog transition to their new home. Rescuing a dog does not end at the adoption. You are agreeing to take on the next step in their life. Remember these are RESCUED animals who have endured hardships that we may not be aware of. Labs and More provides you with a Dog or Puppy who have received a Veterinarian check up, Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, Worming, Fecal Test, and most adults a 4DX Test. Some of our dogs have undergone surgeries, treatments, and ongoing medical care. Our dogs receive far more care than what the Adoption Donation covers. When you adopt you are agreeing to provide the future needs of your new rescued Dog. This is what RESCUING is all about.

Best Friend Pet Adoption

P.O. Box 5305
North Carolina

adoption@bfpa.org
Best Friend Pet Adoption (BFPA) is a no-kill animal rescue organization based in central North Carolina. BFPA has no building, office, or shelter. We are an all-foster network committed to helping dogs and cats in need of homes. Individual donations are our most important source of income as we receive no public funding. Our purpose is to provide medical assistance, foster homes, and adoption services to previously lost, abandoned, abused, or neglected animals in Wake County, NC and the surrounding counties. Our mission is to educate this disposable society in which we live that every life should be valued and cherished and is directly linked to human responsibility and commitment. Almost all the animals we rescue require immediate medical attention. BFPA never turns away or euthanizes an animal because of the expense involved in returning them to good health. All our rescued animals are evaluated for temperament, examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, microchipped (if possible) and sterilized, if age appropriate. Cats and dogs receive monthly flea/tick preventative and dogs also receive monthly heartworm preventative. The most important ingredients we provide to these animals are loving care and a safe haven -- something most of them have never experienced. These cats and dogs live in volunteer foster homes until we find them a loving permanent home, however long it takes. We match these precious beings to a single, couple or family who understand cats and dogs should be full participating members of the family. Our hope is that these animals never have to experience being unloved again. Since our beginning, BFPA has rescued and placed over 2,500 cats and dogs into their forever homes. BFPA was created in 1998 by two Raleigh-area women who had volunteered with other established rescues in the Triangle. Their dedication to help homeless dogs and cats has led to an organization that has grown to over 225 volunteers strong. BFPA received 501(c)(3) status in 1999.

Happy Dog Rescue

We partner with rescue groups and shelters across the South to rehome southern dogs with loving families. Loyal and loving dogs turn up every day in Southern shelters, as owners turn them in or they’re found roaming the streets after being dumped. To the best of our abilities, we evaluate all our goldens’ temperaments and suitability for living with other dogs, cats, and children. Their health is checked, and we make sure they are up-to-date on all shots and spayed or neutered. Then we place them in loving foster homes until they find their very own family. Our goal is to meet the needs of each dog as an individual and to assure proper placement in a loving forever home.

We are a group of volunteers who have individually worked with many other rescues prior to starting Underdog Rescue. We are an all breed rescue, and have a soft spot for bully breeds, medical cases and fear cases. We pull primarily from the County Shelter's daily Euthanasia list and place animals in our approved foster homes. We then network these homeless pets in order to rehome them into loving families. We require all adoption applicants to fill our our adoption application, receive a home visit, pay our adoption/rehoming fee and sign our legal adoption contract. All animals are fully vaccinated and altered prior to adoption being finalized. We do a standard 2 week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period, in which the applicant has the opportunity to be sure the animal is a good fit for their home/family.

My husband and I have been rescuing animals for about 8 years by working with other rescue groups. We felt it was time for us to take matters into our own hands to get some of the many rescues we have adopted into their forever homes. We work with our local animal control to find homes for unclaimed dogs and we have many of the animals that others decided were to hard to get adopted. We want every animal to find the perfect home. Our local friends are a great help in getting to word out on those in need of homes. We are an environmentally friendly rescue. We utilize both veterinary medicine and natural healing to ensure the health of our animals.
