We operated a sanctuary for several years but presently offer online advice and referral only. We educate people on why they should and how they can keep their pets rather than surrendering them when challenged with relocation/housing, health, behavior, etc. We also do matchmaking to help homes find pets and vice versa.

Our mission is to take unwanted, neglected, abused, homeless beagles, and beagles at risk of euthanasia and provide them with emotional, medical, and behavioral support so that they can be adopted into loving permanent homes. We are a dedicated group of volunteers who work together to support our organizational mission above. We have hubs in Portland, OR and in the DC Metro areas so we can virtually cover any state in the US, and some areas in Canada. Our main focus is shelter beagles that are at risk of euthanasia. Our second largest population is medical cases from shelters. We also have programs for beagles used as bait targets in fight operations, puppy mills, and lab research. We pull them to safety, foster them, and rehab them until they are ready for adoption. They stay in our system until the perfect person finds them. We are not placing dogs into "a home", but "the home". Why do we do this? We do it for them. We do it because we love the breed and we feel it is our duty to seek out homes where they will enjoy the kind of life our own pets have...forever.
