I'm Donna Rome, I help pet rabbits which are abandoned or unwanted in some way by taking them in, loving on them, getting them spayed and neutered, and finding suitable adoptive families. Dogs by Debin is located in Kansas City, Missouri. We house & care for approximately 40 dogs at any given time. Our dogs arrive in our care in many ways; owner surrenders, strays & we pull from local high-intake shelters. We have an equal balance of dogs that need medical care, behavioral rehabilitation & some dogs that are just ready to get into that new home today. All of our dogs leave our care spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped & heartworm tested (if positive, we treat them). We were developed based on the fact that there is a gap in the system here locally. The shelters that are open-intake, although they are doing the best they can, they can only do so much. Those shelters are also very stressful to the dogs & this is where we step in. You can consider our place a half-way home for dogs if you will. We allow the dogs to be dogs again, offering them behavioral modification, land to run on, playgroups & necessary vet care. With this being said, our adoption rate is sometimes slowed due to the fact the dog(s) may not be ready for adoption right away. We set our dogs up for success & match them with the right family. Our final goal is to have the adoptions last the dog's lifetime. Our #1 goal though is to have a dog stay in their current home, should it be safe. We offer counseling & resources to do our best to make this happen. When it's not possible, they may safely surrender the dog to us, provided we have space. Please consider donating to our cause. Brooke Ashley Miller is the reason for Brooke's Legacy Animal Rescue Team. She had given so much in her life, that we want to give some back. Brooke didn’t get a second chance at life. We are about the second chances, and the pets we rescue from kill shelters were about to be euthanized the day we saved them. Brooke’s Legacy Animal Rescue is committed to second chances for these wonderful pets and adopting to great committed families. She was involved in a tragic accident that ejected her, and her 7 week old puppy, Mia from her truck. Mia fully recovered from her head trauma, despite a few scars. Brooke was flown to a Florida trauma center for severe head injuries. She underwent two separate emergency brain surgeries, and after exactly seven days in a coma, she passed away. She lived every day to the fullest, and always found the good in everything, and everyone. One of her greatest loves was animals. She was an avid barrel racer for nine years with her much loved Quarter Horse, Red Dawn. Brooke was actively involved in The Happy Trails 4-H Club, worked at Pat's Kids, AppleBee's as a Hostess, and at the New To You Consignment Shop. She also worked at her mom's (Tink Bechtol) grooming shop, Groomingdale's Of Naples. Brooke was attending Edison Community College at age 16. Brooke has two younger brothers, Mason and Colton, and one younger sister, Cheyenne. They are all following in Brooke's footsteps with their love of animals. Brooke is, and will always be remembered for her love of life. her love of children, and her love for animals. Brooke is in the hearts of all of us.

We do not have a shelter. We are 100% run by volunteers. We take many pets from high kill shelters as well as from the public depending on the situation and strays. Our pets are homed in limited foster homes as well as in boarding and vet clinics. We pay daily for some to be boarded and some clinics/boarding places donate one or two runs to us.

Cheatham County Animal Control is a County Government facility that receives nearly 2200 animals a year with room to house only 50 at a time. Only four staff members clean, feed, treat, bathe, intake, answer phone, and make onsite calls for: at large, cruelty, neglect, and all other issues. The staff also works to save every animal possible with limited resources. Cheatham County is over 360 square miles and is filled with unwanted animals. Our county compliance on vaccinations, spay/neuter, and safety of animals is low. We are leading our staff and our community toward a culture change - which will take time...time our animals do not always have on their side. We rely on Rescues, Adopters, Donations and Education to do the very best we can to care for the many many animals we receive daily. Your help is needed and appreciated. Working toward making Cheatham County an Animal Friendly County! The adoption fee covers the animals (Dogs/Cats) spay/neuter, rabies shot and all vaccinations while they are in our custody. Meow Cat Rescue WV (MCR) is a rescue/placement organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and careful rehoming of neglected, lost, surrendered or other wise homeless cats and kittens in West Virginia.

Our mission is to eliminate the cat overpopulation problem and animal suffering in the Northwest and Overbrook areas of Philadelphia by educating the public and advocating for Trap, Neuter, Return, Management (TNRM) of feral cats and by providing a safe haven and any necessary veterinary care for animals that come under our care. Animal Rescue Network is a member of the New Beginnings Nonprofit Incubator at Resources for Human Development, Inc. (RHD). RHD is a large, diversified nonprofit organization based in Philadelphia, that oversees roughly 150 programs. The New Beginnings incubator provides small and startup nonprofit programs with a range of services and support designed to help them grow to achieve their missions. Animal Rescue Network is responsible for all its own fundraising.

We are a group of dedicated volunteers, working together for the benefit of helpless and homeless Eskies. Our program is funded by donations and adoption fees. Our volunteers spend endless hours of rescue work which involves transporting, fostering, and networking to save American Eskimo lives.

We are a network of foster homes based in Bucks and Philadelphia counties. Throughout the year we participate in various adoption events to promote our group and find homes for our adoptable animals. Currently we use Facebook, Petfinder, Adopt a Pet, and our own website to post pictures and videos of our animals. We also promote TNR and will assist with trapping, neutering and release of feral cats. There is a huge problem in the US with pet overpopulation so we are trying to do our small part to rectify the problem.

Spencer (our son) is a special young man and he has always loved animals. Because of him, we have been rescuing dogs for many years. When he got to high school, he was able to work part time through vocational training at school. His first job at a vet clinic didn't satisfy him very well because he only got to clean and not interact with the animals. We found a wonderful place for him to work called Woodland West Animal Hospital. They allowed him to work through vocational training and he got to work with the animals! Boy did he ever flourish! They fostered his love of animals so much that he was the first student at his high school to start an animal rescue club. He got students involved in volunteering and helping local animal rescues. That was only the beginning for Spencer. He got involved with the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They took him under their wings and he flourished again. He got involved in adoption events, helping animals that had been affected by wildfires and tornadoes. He also helped spread the word about spaying and neutering. Needless to say, as his parents we are very proud of the young man that Spencer has become. His life mission is to make sure that all animals have a loving and forever home. One particular rescue found a permanent dwelling place in Spencer's heart. That dog was named Bubba. Spencer and Bubba have been inseparable. Spencer thinks that the sun rises and sets in Bubba. When we started helping to achieve his dream of having his own rescue, we asked him what did he want to call it. Of course, he said "Bubba's Rescue". When we asked him what his mission was for Bubba's Rescue, he said that he wanted to make sure that all animals had a home and that he wouldn't have to rescue any more

Wags and Walks was founded by Lesley Brog because she knew she could do more for animals. Lesley Brog grew up a veterinarian’s daughter, a love for animals present as far back as she can remember. Dogs in particular. But it wasn’t until she adopted a Pit Bull puppy, thirteen years ago, that her affinity developed into something much stronger. AliceA pharmaceutical sales rep by profession, Lesley spent most of her time off volunteering with dog rescue organizations and animal shelters. She was struck by the harsh reality: The majority of the dogs in shelters were healthy, family friendly animals, but due to time and space limitations, many had just five days to be adopted before being euthanized. An overachiever with a can-do-anything spirit, Lesley knew that she could do more for animals. So she mustered up the courage to leave the corporate world, and created her own dog rescue organization in Los Angeles, Wags and Walks. Her goal is to educate people about the types of dogs in the shelters and find those animals suitable, loving, fosters and adopters. 392056_2754168612638_225414243_nToday, she visits shelters as far as 60 miles away on a daily basis. She gets to know the animals, takes pictures and video, and urgently networks to find the dogs homes before they run out of time. Lesley’s efforts have been nationally recognized, even resulting in a $10,000 grant from DogTime Media. To date, she has helped save the lives of hundreds of deserving dogs who have brought endless happiness and companionship to their families. Our efforts began with feral cat TNR which naturally evolves into kitten fostering. We have been using personal funds for quality kitten care; but hope to alleviate that somewhat with the benefits of our upcoming non-profit status. We do what we do for the love of cats; and to the best of our abilities, we strive to achieve a healthy & happy future for each of our fosters.

Puppy Pimps Animal Rescue is a 501c3 organization dedicated to rescuing at-risk "bully-breed” dogs and providing them with high quality care and a comfortable living environment while actively attempting to find them loving, responsible, and well-matched forever families. We also strive to promote responsible pet ownership and a positive image of bully breeds within our community, and be a resource to our neighbors in need by providing them with educational information, food, and access to affordable veterinary care.

PAWS advocates for animals through education, spay /neuter programs and direct care. We take in and adopt out owner surrenders, strays and animals from many local animal control agencies. We do the best we can to find homes for our animals and provide low cost spay and neuter services to the community. We also have a Rabies vaccine program and refer clients to local veterinarians as needed. We participate in community education programs and allow our community members and middle and high school kids to complete their community service at our rescue. Our organization is strictly non-profit and we survive on donations from our community. All animals adopted are spayed or neutered, vaccinated wormed and treated with advantage or frontline for fleas.
