We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs and cats up for adoption. Many of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding. We also have around 50 foster homes that care for our animals not located on the property. Our kennel building and nursery buildings have A/C to keep pets comfortable that need more care or to be separated from the general population. Since we began in March of 2015, we've worked on adding improvements each year to make life as good as possible for the dogs and cats during their (hopefully) short stay with us. Our focus is family-friendly pets who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a pets temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure pets are going to the right homes.

We are a non-profit that rescues abandoned, abused, or surrendered Beagles. We only adopt Beagles out as family pets and companion animals. We are a breed specific beagle rescue, with the occasional "wannabe beagle". It is our mission to reduce the homeless dog population in Hampton Roads by promoting responsible pet ownership, education about spay / neuter, and to find responsible forever home for beagle dogs and puppies.

SHARE has been rescuing and rehoming German Shepherd Dogs and GSD mixes in Southeast Florida for five years. The dogs come from Municipal pounds and owner surrender. Our volunteers do GSD rescue purely out of passion for the breed, our belief in spay/neuter, and a desire to educate people about the wonderful dogs that come through rescue. None of the volunteers are paid.

Dorothy Hanna O’Connor (1907-1992), Victoria’s preeminent caregiver of dogs and cats, established Six Flags Humane Society in 1963 as the community’s first animal rescue shelter. As the successor organization, The Dorothy H. O’Connor Pet Adoption Center is dedicated in her memory, so that a new generation of Victoria County’s citizens may continue in her work of humane treatment of dogs and cats and to facilitate the adoption of God’s creatures into loving homes. The Dorothy H. O’Connor Pet Adoption Center provides homeless animals a caring environment with the purpose of the adoption of dogs and cats into their own loving homes.

We started Jonah’s Ark Animal Rescue with two main goals, the first was for our son Jonah, who was born with a rare genetic disorder and has an IQ of about 50, along with multiple medical issues. He is now 18, and ever since he was little the connection he has with animals is amazing and the connection they have with him amazes us! So thru his love of animals and his compassionate heart we knew what we had to do for him. He won’t ever be able to work, and needs 24 hour care, most doctors had such bleak outcomes for him, but we knew better...there is a purpose and the connection was so clear. So many special needs children and adults are given up on, just like so many animals are just thrown to the side and given up on, and the more we worked with animals with Jonah and saw the growth in him, and the spirit inside him come alive and watch an animal understand him and respond we knew what we needed to do. Which brings us to the second goal..rescue animals in need, that have been told there is nothing left for you, we can’t help you, accept your fate..well for these animals that is a death sentence. If we can rescue them and provide hope for a future and in return give hope to young adults like Jonah at the same time then we all win. We have watched first hand the miracle that happens between these animals and special needs people, they connect on a level that we can’t, its our goal to provide a way for this to happen in both their lives. And so the journey begins..healing, hope and most of all love.

We are a group of animal lovers and advocates in, and around, the Greater Houston area. We rescue pigs and other farm animals in emergency situations, offer boarding for families in transition, rehabilitate the injured and sick, and we adopt out to approved and zoned pig homes. We do this for the love of the very misunderstood potbelly pigs that are so often discarded after less than 2 years with a family due to lack of research. We educate the public about these amazing babies in order to try to curb the amount requiring rehoming.

Geauga Humane Society (GHS) has a proud history of being a leading animal welfare agency in northeast Ohio. We began our life-saving work in 1974. Our vision is to create a humane world where animals are treated with compassion and respect. Our mission is to act on behalf of animals and inspire people to build a more humane community. Our services include: adoptions, enforcing humane law, TNR (Trap, Neuter / Spay, & Return) program, education, rescue and rehabilitation.

We are a small group that formed when we saw a local need to curb the stray and feral population. We TNR community cats and remove kittens for taming and adoption. Friendly adults are also placed for adoption after exhausting previous owner searches.

A Sanctuary for Pyrenees while awaiting Adoption Who are these folks, and why are they helping these beautiful dogs? This is the puppy that started us on our journey to help these great dogs - Nichole John and Linda Kryder started by adopting their first Pyr puppy, & Nichole, in 1992. In learning to live with a little Pyr, they got involved with the Great Pyrenees Club of America, participated in the activities of a regional group and eventually became involved in the group's rescue program. One thing led to another and in 1994 they separated from the club and formed PYRescue. They incorporated and became a nonprofit 501(c)3 in 2011. On an average, they rescued two Pyrs a week, placing over 2500 Pyrenees in new homes over the years. In June of 2015, they finally decided to retire and turned the reins over to new owners and operators Judith Dole and Dr. Michael Heffron, who bought a large property just a few miles northeast of the Kryders in 2014. Michael and Judy built a new facility designed specifically for the needs of these big, beautiful dogs, which can be seen on our Facilities page The Pyrs who are awaiting placement now have a 4 acre fenced pasture to run and play in, 150 square foot indoor/outdoor heated and cooled kennels with large comfy beds and blankets. Our Mission The mission of PYRescue is to provide for the continuing care and support of all Great Pyrenees in need of assistance through no fault of their own. PYRescue shall continue to provide all necessary care; medical (including spay/neuter without exception), physical and emotional, as required to ensure the placement of every homeless and unwanted Pyrenees that comes to PYRescue in a permanent, happy, and loving home environment suitable to the needs of each Pyrenees. PYRrescue's efforts shall extend throughout Colorado and the surrounding States as needed.

We are a non breed specific dog and cat rescue and a community outreach organization. We understand and value the powerful connection between people and pets. As we set out to provide a safer, happier life for animals, we realized that in order to do that, we were helping people as well. Through a variety of owner support programs, we strive to keep pets in their original homes whenever possible by providing food, veterinary care, training assistance, support, and more. We work with survivors of domestic abuse, Veterans, seniors, the homeless, and children, to provide access to services, find the perfect family, and educate and inspire the next generation to take action. We are a 100% volunteer run organization that relies entirely on the support of the community. ​

We are a cage free cat sanctuary with a veterinary clinic (only for our animals) on site. We pull animals from ACC and provide whatever medical treatment necessary to get them ready for homes.

Epic Animal Rescue is dedicated to saving the homeless and abandoned animals of Texas. We will provide a safe haven for these animals while we search for their forever adoptive homes. Our team is dedicated to the welfare of all animals and will provide educational support to the general public regarding the need for neuter, adequate vaccination and lifelong vet care of companion animals.

We rescue dogs from high kill shelters and find them perfect forever homes.

I live in a rural area where stray cats and some dogs wander in regularly. My policy has always been to trap, neuter and release the cats, and if they decide to stay, then they become part of my farm family. The dogs are altered, and homes are found for them. About twelve years ago, I began volunteering with a rescue in Wagoner. I learned a great deal about rescuing animals while there. I, and several of my rescue friends, now want to focus more on our immediate area, as the cats are still coming and many of them are very suitable for adoption into loving homes. Rescuegroups.org has been a wonderful way to make potential adopters aware of the animals needing homes. We would like to be able to share our adoptable pets with the people looking to adopt through your portal. We want to make a difference to every pet who is sent our way.

We are committed to saving the lives of dogs placed into high kill shelters from southern states. We believe every dog deserves the chance to live and be happy. Our fosters have one primary mission… rescuing and placing homeless, neglected, or abused dogs from High-Kill shelters from the South into loving, responsible, committed and permanent homes. We have a comprehensive adoption process which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and cost of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Animals in our care receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and are placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes.

We are a Foster/Rescue group that serves the the above counties in WV. Our aim is to Spay/Neuter as many animals as we can, and to educate owners in doing the same. When we are approached to rescue and the owner has other dogs they are keeping, We insist that we have that animal Spay/Neutered at our cost also. We work very closely with Help For Animals in Barbousville WV One Humaine way PO Box 250 Barbousville WV 304-736-8555 Dr Kelly Pinkston and Brandy Jones DVM often contact us to take a litter of abandoned pups or dogs. we take 30 pups/ dogs to be fixed there every time we go. We offerr this service to local communities and will take the Persons animal with us and have them fixed also....( the owner pays the cost).

The mission of the Virginia Beach Animal Control Unit is to balance the health, safety and welfare needs of the people and animals in our City. Through our mission we will educate the public about responsible companion animal ownership, aggressively investigate animal cruelty cases, provide compassion and humane care for unwanted, stray, abused and abandoned animals in our City, give adoptable animals a second chance at a forever home, and humanely euthanize animals when necessary and appropriate.
