Greener Days Ahead Rescue

PO BOX 151
Arkansas
72111
gdarescue@gmail.com
Gdar is small home based rescue, mostly accepting strays and own surrenders but we do have the occasional shelter pull if space permits. We do have a limited space availability of 10 and don't use fosters. We are building our own building starting September 26,2016 at that point our intake should be able to double if donations allow. We are one of the fastest growing rescues around, this is our second year as a 501c3. I got into rescue because of my love for dogs, I started with transport and fostering for another organization that will alway be dear to me, but branched off on my own due to the fact our county, and literally hundreds of small towns around don't type have any type of municipal animal services at all.

Odies Place Animal Rescue

Massachusetts
02748
odiesplace508@gmail.com(508) 971-6670
Odie’s Place Animal Shelter was established by Brian and Kerrie Harrington and a close-knit group of animal welfare supporters in 2014. The rescue was named in honor of Otis, Brian and Kerrie's beloved shelter dog that passed away in January that same year. The ultimate goal is to build an amazing sanctuary for homeless animals, to give them a second chance at the life they deserve. Here is a personal message from Brian: "Have you ever thought about where stray dogs and cats go when they are caught? Have you ever considered the fates of runaways, or abandoned pets, if they are lucky enough for someone with a good heart to find them? Southcoast Massachusetts has thousands of stray dogs and cats roaming the streets, and many of them eventually find their way to shelters. My dog Otis was one such animal. We found him at a shelter and took him home. And in our home he was a friend, a confidante, and a part of the family. He passed away last January, and while he is gone his memory is not. The fact that Otis was able to be a part of our lives came down to luck as much as anything else. Nearly all of the shelters in our area have a kill policy; animals who are perfectly adoptable may end up being euthanized because they are old, or not socialized well, or have simply spent too long in an overcrowded shelter. But we want to ensure that Otis’s name, and the joy he brought to us, lives on. So we have established Odie’s Place, a no-kill shelter right here in New Bedford. We will do whatever it takes to make sure that every animal that comes in through our front doors leaves, one day, with its forever family. Southcoast Massachusetts sees thousands of animals enter shelters every month, and the majority of those shelters have kill policies. The simple tragic fact is that shelters are overcrowded, and perfectly healthy and well-behaved animals are being killed simply to make room for the incoming onslaught. Otis made life so much better for us, and we’re on a mission to give that same opportunity to others! Our sanctuary will have a no-kill policy, and we will provide temporary shelter until each stray or abandoned animal is adopted into its forever-family. No one will be killed off to make room!"

JustCare Animal Rescue

Oakville
Washington
98568
justcarecats@gmail.com
We are a small group of animal loving volunteers in the Thurston/Grays Harbor County areas who are embarking on an uphill journey to save stray and feral cats as well as other homeless animals. Every penny goes to the animals and we do not pay ourselves or our volunteers aside from reimbursements for supplies. We also strive to educate the community and surrounding areas about trap/neuter/vaccinate/return programs in order to instill an understanding and compassionate culture toward homeless cats. Our goal is to reduce the feral and often unhealthy cat population through TNVR and to provide information about free spay and neuter options for feral/free-roaming cats as well as low-cost options for pets as well as provide a way out for needy dogs who are on the euthanasia list at high kill shelters in other parts of the county. TNVR and rescue often intertwine when trapped animals cannot be returned for health or safety reasons, in which case the cats will stay with us until their medical needs are met and a loving permanent home/barn can be found. Occasionally, we will pick up other needy animals as well.
