Washington Area Animal Adoption Group

Every day, dogs and cats in good health with wonderful personalities are euthanized because of overcrowding. Many of these animals end up at the shelter through no fault of their own. Animals lose their homes when their guardians have died or moved or simply can no longer care for them. If we had our way, no dog or cat would spend its days in a cold, dark shelter. There is so much love and joy in these dogs and cats! Bringing these special animals into a home is not only good for the dogs and cats, these loving animals also transform the quality of life for the people who adopt or foster them. Created in 2012, WAAAG is a Veteran Founded, all volunteer nonprofit animal rescue organization. We help all types of dogs and cats; find safe and loving homes for those animals that are adoptable; and offer end of life care for those that are not. WAAAG's mission is to change the way the world things about and treats animals and to create better lives for them through rescue, foster, adoption and hospice. http://www.waaag.org/AboutUs/

White Kisses Great Dane Rescue

PO Box 4012
Texas

whitekissesgdr@gmail.com
White Kisses GDR is committed to the rescue, rehab and rehoming of Great Danes in Texas and surrounding states. While we do rescue all types of full-blooded Great Danes, Mastiffs and dane/mastiff mixes, our passion and number one priority are the deaf/blind/special needs Great Danes. As of November 22nd, 2014 we are a non-profit 501(c)3 Great Dane rescue operating solely on donations and the work of volunteers. Every donation helps us provide medical attention, training, housing, food and all other needs of the Great Danes in our care. We are located in West Texas. We serve Texas and the surrounding states; we do however adopt out of state. Our goal is to not only save these magnificent gentle giants from living poorly cared for lives, but also educating the public as far as the production and care of special needs (not limited to just deaf/blind) Great Danes. We strive to place each Great Dane in the home that best fits the Great Dane; placements are not taken lightly. Adopters are in a lifetime relationship with both us and our dogs. We are all extended family. Employer Identification Number: 47-2111892

We formed out of the necessity to help animals at the city shelter become adopted. We have saved over 50 dogs/puppies from being euthanized in the short time since we formed the organization. We hope to work with the city to eventually get them to offer some sort of low cost spay/neuter program so that we can make a difference in the alarming overpopulation of pets here in Junction, Tx.

Atlanta Humane Society

981 Howell Mill Road NW
Georgia
30318
info@atlantahumane.org(404) 875-5331
Atlanta Humane Society (AHS) is a 501(c)3 tax exempt nonprofit (IRS Tax ID# 58-0685900) and one of the oldest private charitable organizations in Atlanta, founded in 1873 as a result of an earlier visit to the city by Robert E. Lee. The animal charity was originally chartered to protect women, children, and animals and remained a child protection and animal welfare society for 79 years. AHS, now a widely recognized pet adoption center, vet center, and educational program provider, was originally located on Marietta Street and moved to its present location at 981 Howell Mill Road in the 1930s. The Alpharetta campus at 1565 Mansell Road was opened in 2011. Atlanta Humane Society serves about 25,000 animals each year, and places approximately 8,000 dogs and cats into forever homes. AHS is committed to finding homes for all adoptable pets. We do not euthanize adoptable animals, and there are no time limits for the animals once they are in our care. We only humanely euthanize those animals suffering from significant medical issues or that pose behavior concerns. We are proud to be a part of the solution to ending pet homelessness and overpopulation in the southeastern United States.
