Mastiff Rescue of Virginia

Pilot
Virginia

Mastiff Rescue of Virginia is a small volunteer-based organization whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome English Mastiffs (mixes) that are in need. Our volunteers are committed to providing Mastiff rescues with a renewed chance to live their best possible life. We work in conjunction with other rescue groups, shelters, and private owners who need a safe place to surrender. While we are Virginia based, we assist organization in nearby states whenever we can. Mastiffs accepted into our organization are vetted, medically assessed, altered (spayed/neutered), microchipped and placed in pre-approved foster homes until a suitable forever home is available.

Our rescue property is includes housing for our Director and Animal Welfare Manager so we are onsite with our dogs 24/7. We started out of a need for additional resources in our county especially space for sanctuary dogs. We do it because dogs in need are our passion. We eat, breathe and sleep dogs! KD Kitties Rescue and Sanctuary

Toano
Virginia

kdkitties1@gmail.com(757) 810-2853
Formed and run by two former Kings Dominion performers, KD Kitties Rescue & Sanctuary's mission is to protect and advocate for feral and friendly cats currently or formerly living at Kings Dominion theme park in Doswell, VA. We aim to provide a better life through sterilization, socialization, foster/adoption, and ongoing care including feeding and monitoring existing colonies, veterinary care at local clinics to ensure cats remain healthy and up-to-date on all vaccines, and to provide a safe place for cats while we work to find them a forever home. We also attempt to educate and inform the public about the importance of spaying/neutering and vaccinating their pets, as well as how to properly acclimate barn cats to new locations, how to socialize feral cats transitioning to indoor life, and medical issues such as FIV and FeLV and how they do or do not impact a cat's health and living situation.

SOS offers "comfort kitties" to those needing emotional support. Any applicant that currently has an ESA from a medical doctor is paired up w/a comfort kitty that matches their requirements.
