The Polished Pitbull was founded in 2008 to provide advocacy, education and rescue for pitbull type dogs. Our passion has always been pitbull type dogs. They need help probably more than any other breed, though our DNA analysis (we get DNA results for every dog we take from shelters and adopt out) shows that out of 60 dogs tested, only 2 were full breed dogs...the rest were all mixed breed dogs...pit-mixes.

We are a group of volunteers that realized the need for a rescue in our area for animals that are considered "last chance." We work with neglected, abused, starved, dumped, abandoned, injured animals. We have rehabed and adopted 2 Great Danes that were days from death because of starvation, a dog that was attacked by Coyotes, 2 gun shot victims, a dog that was purposely set on fire (we couldn't save her but we provided the vetting services for the family). We have rescued, at last count, over 180 dogs and cats that have been dumped and abandoned including several mothers and litters that we work to get into rescues out of state.

The Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter holds lost animals for-owners-to reclaim, adopts out homeless animals to new owners, and quarantine dogs and cats that have bitten. In addition the shelter investigates complaints of cruelty or neglect of animals.

Allies Haven Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization that rescues unwanted, abandoned, abused and neglected dogs from Texas. Once healthy we place them in approved homes.

Collie Rescue of Greater Illinois, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation established in 1995. We provide shelter and care to purebred Collies which have been abandoned or turned in to shelters. The Collies are placed in temporary foster homes until a permanent home can be found. Our commitment is to place the Collies in the best possible permanent home to give them a second chance in life. We have successfully placed Collies ranging in age from five weeks to twelve years. Prospective families that wish to adopt a Collie will be interviewed. Basic information about the family, pet ownership history and why they want a Collie is requested. Our goal is to achieve a successful match between the Collie and the adopting family. We want a happy ending to every rescue story, and part of that process is selecting a suitable Collie to fit into the lifestyle and needs of the adopting family.

We are a 10 year old 501c3 formed to stop the killing of pets at our City shelter. We now manage the cat shelter. We are volunteers and we do this because we love and want to help animals.

We are a 501c3 non profit no kill facility. I am the shelter manager, I manage the employees and animals, schedule appointments, release press information, write grants. The reason I do what I do is to be a voice for the voiceless and provide them a better environment then they received before come into the facility.

We are here to find forever homes for the animals and cut down on cat and dog population in Pontotoc County.

Nonprofit pregnant cat and abandoned animal rescue. We have about 30 fosters who take in unwanted or surrendered cats, kittens. We get them healthy, vaccinate, spay or neuter and adopt them into forever homes.

We provide veterinary care for ma homeless cats in WNY. We also help some dogs. We promote adoption and have successfully placed many cats in new loving homes. Our group is comprised of veterinary professionals. We started our group because we saw how local rescues were struggling to pay for basic veterinary care. We just started this project a few months ago, and just received our incorporation paperwork from NYS.
