The Humane Society and Adoption Center is dedicated to promoting humane treatment of companion animals by providing socialization, food, shelter and medical care in a comfortable setting until "forever" homes can be found for them. We are committed to an aggressive spay/neuter program to bring us closer to our goal of a "no kill" community and county where every adoptable animal is part of a loving, responsible home.

We are committed to saving the lives of dogs placed into high kill shelters from southern states. We believe every dog deserves the chance to live and be happy. Our fosters have one primary mission… rescuing and placing homeless, neglected, or abused dogs from High-Kill shelters from the South into loving, responsible, committed and permanent homes. We have a comprehensive adoption process which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and cost of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Animals in our care receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and are placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes.

Live Love is a social enterprise that believes in business for good, in allowing our clients to be benefactors, and in evolving the seemingly separate pet care and animal rescue industries into one. For every pet care service you order, Live Love helps an animal in need. Live Love Animal Rescue, our 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit organization, rescues homeless animals by providing them the necessary medical care, allowing for physical and emotional rehabilitation, finding them their perfect forever homes, and showering them with love throughout their journey with us. United Dog Rescue Inc. is a fully approved 501(c)(3) non-profit charity organization which was founded in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We are an all-condition, all-breed, all-size, and all-age dog rescue & adoption center. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and adopt abandoned dogs into well-matched forever homes. The dogs we rescue are: homeless, mistreated, injured and living in kill shelters. Many dogs require immediate medical attention. Our rescue center provides refuge and a second chance for abandoned dogs. In addition to dog rescue and adoption, we educate the community about respect and kindness to all animals.

Since its founding in 2003, HART has saved the lives of thousands of adoptable animals in Western Maryland by reducing pet overpopulation through low-cost spay/neuter programs; building the HART Adoption Wing where adoptable animals are safe while waiting for their forever homes; and rescue and transport adoptable animals to reputable adoption organizations. To support and sustain the operations of our mission, the HART Animal Center provides pet care services that include the full-service Bredel Veterinary Clinic for the health and well-being of your pets, the Bed ‘n Bark Inn pet hotel, MUTTWorks Grooming Salon and the HART Shoppe. The HART Adoption Wing is located at the HART Animal Center.

TACS is a private animal services provider for city and state governments under contract.

ARF was organized to rescue and transport pets from the county shelter in order to decrease euthanasia rates. Through the years, ARF has been able to help additional pets that the shelter either wouldn't accept or didn't have room to house. ARF does posting and transport for both organizations.
