Education & Outreach

We rescue English Toy Spaniels from virtually any environment, but our main focus is in the rescue of puppy mill English Toys who have spent their entire lives in breeding facilities across the county. We take in the rescues, vet them, and then make sure that they find homes where they will be loved and doted on for the remainder of their lives. We do this because (1) we love the English Toy breed, (2) we detest the inhumane conditions of puppy mills; and (3) we have a passion to give voice to the voiceless and aid to dogs in need.

Bond County Humane Society (BCHS) was formed in 2003 by Rachel & Dennis Hundsdorfer and a small group of concerned citizens. The mission is to provide temporary housing to stray, unwanted and neglected cats and dogs until permanent loving homes can be found. Our mission also includes controlling the pet overpopulation through low cost spay/neuter programs. We offer local low cost spay/neuter programs for companion animals and low cost spay/neuter programs for feral free roaming cats. We actively participate in humane education programs with a group of volunteers from surrounding counties to elementary and high schools those counties. BCHS was formed because we saw a need for improving animal welfare in Bond County.

I am married. have 3 grown sons and a new grandson. My love for all animals runs very deep, I have had dogs since the day I was born I have a soft spot for the giant breeds especially the ill, senior, disabled and handicapped I do what I do to help these poor babies and give them a chance of a happy life

I am a volunteer and work closely with president trying to lighten her load. We take owner surrenders and try to find them a forever home. We go to shelters and pull dog and put them in foster homes or with adoptive parents. I love rescuing animals and I have full family involvment. We have a rescued dog that took our whole savings because of health issues. There are so many more needy dogs, and I know I can help them so way or another.

Richardson Rescue, located in York, SC, is a non-profit animal adoption agency dedicated to preserving the sanctity of animal life. While trying to find a forever home for every pet that comes to us, we strive to give owners a better education on pet care, prevent pet neglect/abuse and provide a low cost spay/neuter program for those that can't afford it. Richardson Animal Rescue is a 501C3, non profit, publicly funded rescue.

Chartered in 1966, FDHS is governed by a working Board of Directors. The FDHS services approximately 1800 stray, surrendered, and otherwise homeless cats, dogs, and other animals each year from Defiance and surrounding counties in Northwest Ohio. We are currently housed in the Justin F. Coressel Animal Shelter located near Defiance at the corner of St. Rt. 15 and Trinity Road. Our annual operating budget is approximately $125,000 with funding being received mainly through private donations, fundraisers, sponsors, memberships and adoptions. The FDHS employs a small staff, including our dedicated Shelter Director, Sarah Kadow. Our volunteer Board of Directors is composed of 8 devoted individuals who spend countless volunteer hours raising funds to help the organization. FDHS's mission: "To continually demonstrate its commitment to the highest principles of humane care and professional treatment for all injured, ill, stray or unwanted animals. We will provide for their safety and comfort; alleviate their suffering; strive to place them in homes that will provide a quality lifetime commitment; discourage all forms of animal cruelty; educate the public; foster humane behavior toward animals and establish a mutually positive relationship with the community." The FDHS requires that every adopted animal be spayed or neutered, and we strive to ensure that our adoptable animals are healthy. Spay or neuter surgery, heartworm or feline leukemia testing, general health check, with approprate vaccinations and/or treatments, are all factored into the affordable adoption fees for our dogs and cats. Our mission is to offer the best possible care and future for companion animals in our community through leadership, placement, and outreach.

Pet Stop Rescue is a non-profit animal welfare organization, dedicated to placing unwanted pets into new loving homes. We have many people volunteering to save the lives of stray or abandoned pets, get them spayed or neutered, adopt them to a caring person or family, and educate the general public on the need for more humane treatment of animals in our society.

CCHS is located in a very rural, poor area of Wisconsin. We help stray and homeless animals in need, caring for them until new homes can be found. We are also located in an area with many puppy mills, and are involved with rescuing and rehoming mill dogs. We also sponsor FixaPet, a low-cost spay/neuter program available to anyone from anywhere.

Pet Savers' mission is to rescue, protect, and place abandoned or unwanted pets and provide funds for neutering, spaying, and other veterinary care.
