Foster Care

Faithful Hearts is a new organization in Dodge county Georgia - the first animal shelter/rescue in the area. We are currently raising funds to build a full time shelter and right now are sheltering through local vets and dedicated fosters.

SPOT was created to fill the need to save animals who “fall through the cracks” in our sheltering system. Local shelters are overwhelmed—they receive so many strays and owner turn-ins that they run out of space and have to kill thousands of animals each year. The majority of these animals are healthy and simply need to be placed into a home. Others are medical cases which require some work, but do not have life-threatening diseases or injuries. And a few have some moderate behavior issues; we work with specialists to correct these behaviors before finding them their forever home. The bottom line is SPOT can save these lives.

I have been doing rescue for about 3 years now. We do it because of the severe problem with abuse, neglect, and animals being turned it. We are for educating the public about animals. We will be going to the schools next year and teaching the kids. (Start with them and they will influence the parents) We want to protect animals because people seem to think they are just items and not living animals with feelings. We take in dogs from abuse and neglect situations. We take in dogs from high kill shelters, and we also take in some strays.

The Trinity Girls Awareness Program, or GAP Club, is an organization, which not only focuses on girls' issues, but also makes them aware of their community and hopefully makes them better students and citizens. As part of the community awareness, we have been the official sponsor of the Euless Animal Shelter for the past six years. It is our goal to help the shelter adopt pets and find forever homes or fosters so they will not be put down. We do this through networking, pet adoption sites, and raising funds to lower the cost of spaying/neutering, in addition to vaccinating the shelter pets for parvo and distemper. We have also helped with heartworm treatment and various other medical costs of animals in need. Our sponsors visit the shelter at least once a week to update pictures, shots, and check on the dogs and cats. We take the GAP girls twice a month so they can volunteer and understand why we sponsor pets and have fund-raises. The shelter's euthanasia rate has dropped dramatically since we have been working with them. We owe a lot of this to networking and the internet. I personally get a lot of satisfaction out of working with the shelter and the animals because the animals can't help themselves and they seem so genuinely grateful when you give them even just the littlest bit of attention and love. The best feeling is when you see a family or single person find that "perfect" pet that they have been looking for and the animal has found a wonderful forever home!

2nd Chance Dog Rescue saves dogs that otherwise would be left on the streets to fend for themselves or brought to the pound and most likely placed on the E-List. Our dogs are extremely loving and deserve a place to call home.

We are a group of individuals who want to help dogs in need. We pull dogs from kill shelters, take owner surrenders and also take dogs from hoarding situations and breeders who have been shut down. We provide veterinary care for the dogs, spay/neuter, provide a safe and loving foster home and then try to find match the dog with an appropriate forever home.

Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love was started by a group of volunteers dedicated to saving Danes and other dogs, especially one’s that may be passed up by other rescues due to special needs. We are an extension of Ruff Love Rescue, a 501 c (3) non profit based in Thomasville NC. Great Dane Friends helps people to: * Determine the right breed for their lifestyle. * Find healthy, compatible dogs who fit their wants and needs. * Find new homes for dogs whose families can no longer keep them. * Provide all necessary medical care to return the Dane to good health.

We are a community benefit organzitation consisting of volunteers helping the Doberman breed through education, assistance and adoption. We do it because we love our breed and want the opportunity to share their beauty and spirit with families interested.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit who rescues animals from high kill shelters and other situations. We have rescued over 20,000 animals since August 2009. We do it because of the love in our hearts!
