Maryland

Our organization primarily helps owners keep pets in safe and healthy homes. We do this by offering support (i.e. training advice, management), supplies (i.e. food, crates, leashes), and we work closely with animal control on cases where owners truly just need help keeping pets. When re-homing is best, we work with owners to provide re-homing assistance which includes marketing and screening of applicants, as well as post-adoption support for adopters.

Kibblez of Love

8100 Belvedere Rd. Suite 13
West Palm Beach
Florida
33411
info@kibblezoflove.org
Founded in 2011 after seeing countless family pets being surrendered to kill shelters or thrown to the streets we felt the community needed a retention program offering free pet food to spayed and neutered pets, assistance with the surgeries and education about responsible pet ownership. We began to distribute free pet food to the community. Once we had a standing in the community helping pet parents we began to help the medically at risk dogs at our local kill shelter beginning in 2015. We pull Heartworm positive dogs and dogs with serious medical or behavior ailments as we believe they deserve just as much a chance at life as the perfectly healthy and adoptable ones at the shelter.

Wright-Way Rescue is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Its mission is to reduce the number of homeless pets euthanized in the Midwest each year through an adoption program, community education, promotion of spaying and neutering, and a veterinary medicine program. It continues to save pets from rural animal control facilities where they are at a high risk of euthanasia, and instead offer them a second chance at a loving home in the Chicagoland area.

We assist residents to TNR cat colonies in the area to reduce the extermination of homeless cats. We educate on the importance of and provide spay&neuter assistance. We accept accidental litters and family pets for rehoming to prevent them from being surrendered to high kill shelters. We pull from high kill shelters. All rescues are spayed or neutered, brought up to date on vaccines and given heartworm & flea preventatives. Many of our rescues are transported to no kill rescues in Vermont and NY who have high adoption demands. We do all this to prevent the neddless deaths of homeless pets in our area.

We are a non breed specific dog and cat rescue and a community outreach organization. We understand and value the powerful connection between people and pets. As we set out to provide a safer, happier life for animals, we realized that in order to do that, we were helping people as well. Through a variety of owner support programs, we strive to keep pets in their original homes whenever possible by providing food, veterinary care, training assistance, support, and more. We work with survivors of domestic abuse, Veterans, seniors, the homeless, and children, to provide access to services, find the perfect family, and educate and inspire the next generation to take action. We are a 100% volunteer run organization that relies entirely on the support of the community.

Cat Care Society

5787 West Sixth Avenue
Colorado
80214
frontdesk@catcaresociety.org(303) 239-9680
Cat Care Society (CCS) was founded in 1981 by Linda East, DVM and Lynn Rowe. CCS is a nonprofit organization and was established in order to improve the quality of life for homeless, injured and abused cats in the Denver metropolitan area. The Society's goals are: To sponsor educational programs that promote responsible pet ownership, humane treatment of all animals, and the elimination of pet overpopulation; To shelter cats in a healthy, cage free environment and to find compatible and responsible families for every cat; To provide community outreach programs that improve the quality of life for cats and people; To be a friend to all cats. The shelter provides a temporary refuge for more than 50 cats until an appropriate and permanent home can be found for each. Veterinary care, premium diet and human interaction are lovingly provided. The large number of phone calls received each day from people who have found abandoned, abused or injured cats needing good homes indicates a strong community need for our services. We receive an average of 70 phone calls for assistance daily. Sadly, more than half of these are from owners needing to give up their cats. For these cats, we provide Information about placing the cat and referrals to other area shelters. We also provide this same information to people who have found a cat when we are at or over our capacity and cannot take the cat. Many calls involve behavioral problems or are questions about feral (wild) cats. Behavior counseling and printed articles on a wide variety of topics are available at the shelter. Cat Care Society is supported by a number of loyal members and contributors, without whom we could not operate. We receive no government funding. In addition, our volunteers assist with many fundraising activities each year such as our Tails of the Painted Cats Gala Dinner & Auction, Meow Mart, Paws On The Green Charity Golf Tournament, Santa Paws Festival, Colorado Gives Day, and much more. We offer these these programs for our donors: Nine Lives Legacy Society Nine Lives Cat Guardianship Program Nine Lives Partners Giving Club CCS respects the privacy of our donors. We do not sell or exchange our mailing list to anyone.
