We are a nonprofit pet rescue saving animals from abuse, neglect or euthanasia, primarily from kill shelters in California and Texas bringing them to fosters and adopters in the PNW. All members have experience with rescues. Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate, rehome and educate. We collectively have a passion for saving animals and ultimately happy endings! Long term goal is to include a sanctuary for non adoptable animals.

I am a 44 yr old female who has turned the 2nd & 3rd floors of my paid off home, into a cat rescue/sanctuary. My kids are now grown & although two still live here they except what I do. I rescue cats from outside or unsafe situations. I also pull kittens from the streets and TNVR the moms to help with the over population issue. I do it because the need is great and I just can not sit back and do nothing.

We are a group of local woman who have volunteered with other groups. We all share the love of dogs and cats and adore great pyrenees. we will help local strays and owner surrenders as well as work with a network of southern rescue partners. nothing warms our heart more than to see a discarded, unwanted animal thriving in a home where it is loved and thought of as a family member.

We are a small but mighty, foster home based, nonprofit animal rescue made up of amazing volunteers, striving to help as many animals in need as we can.

We are a non-profit, no kill animal shelter that has been serving our community and other surrounding communities since 1964. We work with humane officers in the County to take in and vet stray animals and then place for adoption. We also accept owner surrenders. I am the treasurer of the Board of Directors. I have been at this position for 2 years now.

Quailwings Rescue is a 100% volunteer group that works from foster homes providing care and safe harbor for neglected animals. Our rescue promotes the humane treatment of animals and fosters respect, understanding and compassion for all creatures. Quailwings Rescue does not have a facility. We find that providing that care in a home, rather then a kennel works best for our rescues.

Elk Grove Animal Services was established in 2006, and has had a brick and mortar animal shelter since 2019. Our goal is to improve the community by protecting and advancing the health, safety and welfare of animals within the community of Elk Grove.

My name is Calla Gibson. I am a 2020 graduate at Delaware Valley University with a B.S. in Small Animal Science and a minor in Large Animal Science. I plan to attend vet school in the near future to obtain my DVM. I have been working for Dianes Discount Pet Supplies and Adoption Center for 8 years. This is where I began rescuing cats and kittens. Once it got larger, I decided I wanted to start my own non-profit rescue especially with all of the support I receive on a daily basis. It started years back with just a few bottle-raised kittens but then turned into about 30-40 kittens in a season. I also have been working for The Affordable Spay Neuter Clinic and Pet Care as a veterinary technician for 6 years. This is where my passion for spaying/neutering also began. Dr. Silberman is a dedicated doctor striving to limit the amount of unwanted animals in the US. He just exceeded his 20,000 surgery this summer and I am so happy to be apart of this. I also did my final senior seminar presentation on the affects of the feral cat population in our ecosystem. They are not only in the top 100 invasive species list but they are also killing native wildlife that is upsetting the balance in the world we live in. I truly believe that if everyone contributed to helping the feral and/or stray cat who is reproducing 3-4 litters in a season this would not be so much of a problem. Spaying and neutering is the only thing that will help keep the cat population at bay and everyone needs to be aware of the severity of this problem. I rescue kittens and cats because I know that at 6 months of age they will start to reproduce and make more kittens so if I rescue 30 or more kittens in a season that is a lot of litters of kittens I can prevent in the future. My biggest thing with people bringing cats into me is to try and catch the mother cat because she is either already pregnant and/or is going to become pregnant again because of the kittens that were just taken away from her. My biggest pet peeve is for the mother cat to be trapped and then fixed because saving those kittens ultimately will not fix the problem.

We are a small dog rescue located in Colorado Springs. We started in 2019 with a board & two experienced foster volunteers. We believe in being a safe haven for dogs with defeated spirits with inclusion of community and education of the public.

Pennington County Humane Society is a non-profit organization that promotes respect for animal life, works to prevent animal homelessness, abuse, and provides community education regarding the humane/ethical treatment of animals. It is the policy of the society to promote humane care and treatment for all animals needing protection; to seek to return lost animals to their owners; to seek suitable homes for animals without owners. Founded in November of 1997, Pennington County Humane Society is a non-profit organization supported entirely by individual contributions. We are dedicated to serving the animals and people in our community. We provide shelter, food and medical care for unwanted, abused and neglected animals. We strive to place pets into loving homes.
