I am a volunteer at the shelter and also a volunteer team leader for MCAS marketing. I have helped in many ways: foster, adopter, coordinator for off-site adoptions, assist with rescues, dog walker, computer input, lost dog walk-thru, help to adopt to families. I do it because I don't think we should be killing adoptable animals and I know I can make a difference.

Kitty Katchers

Kitty Katchers began in the Spring of 2007 to T-N-R cats in the neighborhood. We get calls constantly to assist in trapping. Kitty Katchers will trap, spay/neuter and return the feral cats to their own colonies; however, if the female has kittens, we will foster the kittens (including taking care of all vaccinations, illnesses, etc.) and place them up for adoption. By practicing the TNR method, we are hoping to assist in the control of the feral cat population.

We specialize in Persians and Siamese but we also rescue all breeds and mixed breed cats. I am a die hard cat lover and I wanted to help the pet overpopulation in the South. I have recently become involved with the trapping and taming of feral kittens.
