Wigglin Home Boxer Rescue

PO Box 1354
Washington
98604
wigglinhomeboxerrescue@gmail.com(360) 903-6102
Wigglin Home Boxer Rescue is a non-profit, all-volunteer group of Boxer owners and lovers covering WA, OR and parts of ID. WHBR knows the great need in our community for re-homing Boxers found in unfortunate situations. These dogs come from all walks of life- neglected, homeless, owner surrendered, owner illness/death and military families unable to keep their beloved dogs due to their service to our country. We provide this needed service through donors who believe in our mission, as well as fund-raising events. We work diligently to control the Boxer population through mandatory spaying/neutering of our rescued Boxers. Additionally, we provide education on the Boxer personality and care, over-population in shelters and the many dangers of backyard breeding. Adoptive applicants are carefully screened to assure each Boxer is placed with an appropriate forever family, thus coming full circle and completing our goal.

Spilled Milk Cat Sanctuary

Ohio
45102
(513) 313-7744
Spilled Milk Cat Sanctuary was created when a local vet's Cat Adoption Program was discontinued and the remaining cats had no place to go, their fate was uncertain. Once we formalized our organization and absorbed the cats from that vet into our Adoption Program, then we began helping homeless Cats in our Community. For the Cats that are not adoptable due to medical or socialization issues, we have a Cat Sanctuary Program where these cats are safe, cared for and have indoor /outdoor access in a group room environment and can receive vetting when needed

Friends of Todd

3850 Wyandot St
Colorado
80211
rescue@friendsoftodd.org
Our mission is to decrease the number of unwanted and stray animals that will never get to experience a loving home by promoting spay and neuter and adoption. We provide TNR (Trap-neuter-return) services to communities with populations of feral kitties- taking in those tame adults who have been abandoned or those kittens that haven't yet lived a life in fear of humans and finding forever homes for these kitties. We also accept cats from individuals and other rescue organizations and help place them into homes. All cats and kittens that are adopted from our rescue are spayed and neutered, and we also assist with people that are unable to afford the spay or neuter procedure. We only euthanize those animals that are experiencing incurable suffering and focus on treating and loving every individual animal that comes into our care.

DogGone Shelter Intervention

South Carolina

dsi.rescue16@gmail.com(864) 382-7224
Our Story... Our journey all started when we took a short visit to the local shelter in Marion, SC. It had recently stormed and caused flooding which made the shelter look more like a mud pit than a safe haven for homeless animals. While there we saw broken spirits and despair in the eyes of the animals. With the severe overcrowding, many dogs were in crates that were stacked on other crates. It was, at this time, we knew we need to help in any way we possible so we started fostering for the local shelter. Our first foster was Raphael. He had sat at the shelter in those cold nights in the winter and extreme heat in the summer for over a year. He watched kennelmate after kennelmate leave on their freedom rides and find loving families while he was being looked over. He was an elderly senior shepard that had bad hips and needed a place to sleep while he healed from surgery. Finally, a rescue had stepped up and decided to save his life and we opened our home and hearts to Raphael. We took him to the vet and we gave him his medicine and we gave him a nickname. He had become our RaRa. He slept at our feet and he loved to lay in the sunshine. Soon the vet gave us the news that he was too sick to get his hips fixed and was becoming too sick to continue fighting. No matter how much we loved him, his stay at the shelter had taken his toll on him. After we held RaRa in our arms for the last time and watched as he faded away, we knew in our hearts that we had to help animals like him get out of the shelter and into their second chances. It was all to often that pets would be brought in and watch as their owners left them there to become depressed and slowly fade. RaRa was our sign that we were meant to be the voice of those animals lost or abandoned. Ever since we had to let our first foster go, we have been dedicated to those animals. RaRa may have crossed the Rainbow Bridge but he left his paw prints on our hearts that made us into the rescuers we are today and we are grateful to have had him in our lives!
