Paws of Love, Inc.

1507 Reid Rd
Mississippi
39654
pawsoflovems@gmail.com
Paws of Love, Inc. is a new, community-driven initiative that is working not only to restore faith in animal welfare in Lawrence County, but to provide a beacon of hope for abandoned and neglected animals. This group of volunteers is passionate about filling the void left in our community when we found ourselves without a local animal rescue group. At Paws of Love, Inc., our mission is to promote the humane treatment of animals through shelter, adoption, transport, education, and advocacy. Would you like to help us? Please adopt! The building that we are using to shelter the animals left to us is in need of extensive repairs and renovations that can best be done in an empty building. As such, our biggest need is to find good, forever homes for the dogs in our care. If you have room in your heart and your home, adoptions are our most fervent wish right now. Sadly, until necessary building repairs can be made, we cannot accept any additional animals. We are only staffed by volunteers right now, with irregular hours, but if you would like to meet our precious dogs, please let us know, and we will make arrangements to meet you. Please give! We started Paws of Love, Inc. from scratch, so your monetary donations will be greatly appreciated as we care for animals and plan and budget for building repairs. Deposits can be made in our bank account at any BankPlus branch, donations can be made using our PayPal link in the post below, and checks can be mailed to Paws of Love, inc. at P.O. Box 416 Monticello, MS 39654. Paws of Love, Inc. was granted nonprofit recognition under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3), effective August 1, 2023. Your gifts are both appreciated, and tax deductible. Would you like to join us? Please join our membership! Connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for making a difference for animals. Participate in volunteer opportunities, community outreach programs, and events that help create a more compassionate society for animals. Please message us to receive a membership application. Our board of directors is made up of the following volunteers: Kim Brister, president; Jeremy Robbins, vice president; Kristen Williamson, treasurer; Dana Watts, secretary; Brittany Mullins, and Heather Calhoun-Kearney. At Paws of Love, Inc., our mission is clear and our operations are transparent. Please stand with us to ensure that every animal receives the care and attention they deserve.

tascas.love@gmail.com
Tasca’s Love Cooperative is a non-profit, all volunteer, foster based dog rescue organization serving the Washington, DC, metro area. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs left homeless in high volume low resource public shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to pet overpopulation, dogs given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, those in danger of abuse or neglect, or special medical needs. We strive to work with shelters and other rescues, transport and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. Proactively sharing information and coordination of transportation to assist as many dogs as possible. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes. Our group remains interested in and committed to the welfare of the dog beyond the adoption process. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all age appropriate veterinary care and treatment and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age or breed to the extent our resources allow.

Northwoods Animal Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the well-being of animals in Northern Wisconsin. Our mission is to provide shelter, care, and advocacy for animals in need, and to work towards reducing animal cruelty and neglect in our community. We believe that every animal deserves a loving home, and we work tirelessly to provide medical care, nutrition, and rehabilitation to animals in our care until they find their forever homes. We hope to ease the burden on area shelters with spay/neuter programs to avoid unwanted litters, microchipping to get animals back home as quickly as possible, and providing assistance to pet owners to keep animals with their loving families. We are a volunteer team of dedicated animal lovers with years of experience in animal care and welfare. We work closely with volunteers, local businesses, and partner organizations to provide the best possible care for local animals in need. Our long-term vision is a world where all animals are treated with kindness and compassion, and our work is driven by our commitment to making this vision a reality.

"I've been an animal lover and activist all my life. I used to live in Southern California and had a pet supply store from 1995 to 2010 where we only had rescue animals for adoption. I was one of the very first to apply this concept of getting animals out of high kill shelters and finding them good homes. In those 15 years I placed over 16,000 animals. I left California in 2016 and moved to Washington. Since living here I noticed that there are not as many animals here for adoption and, knowing the situation in LA, I wanted to start rescuing again. I have opened my home to rescuing and fostering dogs who need new forever homes." ~ Simone Wunscher - Owner/Operator - Rescue Champion!
