We were founded in 1972 by Gertrude Maxwell exclusively for the humane care and treatment of animals and states our purposes as follows: A. Subscribe to and maintain the principle that spaying & neutering of companion animals is the only effective and humane way to end pet over-population. B. Subscribe to and maintain the principle that animal euthanasia shall not be performed simply because there are too many animals. "No-kill means that animals are not destroyed except in cases of terminal and painful illness, when compassion demands euthanasia because there is no reasonable alternative." C. Find suitable homes for animals sheltered by S-A-P and its foster homes. D. Provide funds for emergency veterinary care for financially challenged individuals. E. Conduct programs designed to promote the kind treatment of animals and the prevention of cruelty to animals.

I have been rescuing for more than 40 years and finally established Valley Cats, Inc. in 1999. We are 501(c)3, all volunteer and totally dedicated to the rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing of cats in our care. Stray and abandoned cats are not as visible in neighborhoods and empty lots as dogs are and we want to be there for them. Our mission is to rescue cats and kittens in need, rehabilitate and re-home them. Many of our rescues come to us hurt, sick, scared or abandoned. We work with them until they are ready for adoption. We are a no-kill organization and our volunteers and Board of Directors are dedicated to preserving the life and dignity of every animal we take in.

FMAR is a no-kill animal shelter. Our property includes two buildings. One for cats and one for dogs. The former includes a screened patio for the cats and the latter, a large yard for the dogs to play in. Once we take in an animal, it has a home with us for it's lifetime. Some of the animals have stayed with FMAR for years before being adopted. The animals at FMAR are rescued from nearby pounds, accepted (as space is available) from the public, or left on our doorstep. FMAR is comprised solely of volunteers that have a deep love of animals. The shelters are thoroughly cleaned twice a day. All dogs are either walked or given play time in the yard every day. We have an well developed TNR program, offer educational programs for kids, and allow people to volunteer to fulfill community service hours. FMAR is well-know and well-respected in our community, and we continue to strive to provide services to the people and animals in our area.

PO Box 1067
Palo Alto
California

commcatrescue@gmail.com
Community Cat Rescue is a group of experienced rescue and TNR volunteers who are working to reduce the population of homeless cats and improve their lives. We manage cat colonies, actively trap for spay/neuter, assist others with colonies and trapping, rescue adoptable (socializable) kittens and cats for adoption and manage a network of foster homes. All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and given appropriate veterinary care before adoption. Our fostercare standards are very high! We host a minimum of 2 outreach adoption events per month, and often as many as 6 events. Our events are also open to verified independent rescuers in our community who meet our health and care standards, because we want to help as many cats and kittens as possible.

Life Savers Animal Rescue (LSAR) consists of a dedicated and caring group of individuals working to rescue animals in urgent need. The focus of Life Savers Animal Rescue (LSAR) is animals in urgent need. Our animals have been forgotten, rejected, or abandoned for a variety of reasons and would most likely be euthanized if we did not intercede on their behalf. We believe these animals deserve a second chance at finding a lifetime guardian or caretaker to ensure they live out the rest of their lives in a caring environment.
