We are a group determined to improve the lives of cats through spay/neuter, fostering, adoption, proper care.

We are a volunteer and foster home based non-profit organization working to help homeless animals.

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Kiski Valley Cat & Kitten Rescue was established in 2000. We are dedicated to the prevention of cruelty and neglect towards cats by providing shelter to homeless cats until we can find them permanent homes of their own. Necessary veterinary treatment, including spaying, neutering, Distemper, and Rabies vaccinations are obtained for them. Euthanasia is not considered unless a cat is gravely ill and it needs to be done to prevent or end the cat's suffering.  The shelter runs solely on the help of volunteers and donations.  We do this because we love cats and want to do as much as we can for them. ​

We are a no kill shelter who aims to educate the public about responsible pet ownership & the importance of spaying and neutering pets. We encourage people to adopt pets instead of shopping for pets! We promote keeping pets healthy through routine vet care, getting adequate nutrition and exercise, and we recruit volunteers on a regular basis to work with our animals. We have very few employees (only 2 currently) and run almost entirely on a volunteer staff.

Our purpose is to improve the well-being of cats and their caretakers by way of: - Rescuing cats from situations that are dangerous to themselves or their caretakers - Providing temporary foster homes and medical attention to the cats in our care - Finding quality permanent families for adoptable cats - Providing TNR services for community cats who cannot be adopted, including ensuring these community cats have a designated caretaker

WE RESCUE ANIMALS FROM SEVERAL STATES AND FIND THEM LOVING FOREVER HOMES. WE DO IT BECAUSE WE LOVE ANIMALS

We strive to end the suffering of street births, one litter at a time through humane TNVR (trap/neuter/vaccinate/return). We pull viable kittens for socializing, vetting and adoption!

RLR saves abandoned dogs, and dogs with medical issues or behavioral issues with the goal of rehabilitation and adoption. And now with the addition of cats and kittens! While some of these animals may have faced euthanasia, we are here to help. We are a non-profit, volunteer run organization.
