Medical Animals In Need

P.O. Box 46365
Phoenix
Arizona
85063
medicalanimalsinneed@gmail.com
The M.A.I.N. Team is an Arizona based, all volunteer group focused on identifying, transporting, aiding and promoting animals from Arizona shelters who need immediate and sometimes costly medical attention the shelters are unable to provide. We are a group of volunteers that saw a need in our county’s shelter system and worked together to address and correct it. Each day, Maricopa County’s animal shelters take in around 150 stray or unwanted dogs, meaning kennels originally designed for one animal are typically packed with four or more. MCACC is the nation’s second largest shelter, and sadly any available space must be given to healthy adoptable animals. M.A.I.N. is here for the injured and sick that stand no chance at all of being rescued in these shelters. We have developed close working relationships with both the east and west locations and staff regularly call to alert us to any particular animals that needs our help. We are available to these shelters and to these dogs 24/7 – and in 2012, more than 150 were saved from euthanasia as a result.

National Anatolian Shepherd Rescue Network

PO Box 2001
Arizona
85236
ASDRESCUE@GMAIL.COM
The National Anatolian Shepherd Rescue Network (NASRN) is a nationwide, 501(c)(3) recognized non-profit,organization. NASRN is dedicated to placing unwanted, displaced and abandoned Anatolian Shepherd Dogs(ASDs) into safe, caring homes. Anatolian crosses will be included in our efforts as we believe crosses not only have many of the unique needs/characteristics of purebred Anatolians, but are often born due to the lack of responsibility on the part of the owners of purebred Anatolians. Our organization is comprised of ASD owners, both working and pet homes. We have joined together in an effort to help homeless and displaced Anatolians find a new lease on life. NASRN works with owners who are no longer able to, or no longer wish to, keep their Anatolians, in placing them in more suitable homes. We cannot, however, place a dog for an owner who is asking a fee or selling their ASD. We also work directly with shelters in pulling dogs from facilities and placing them either in foster care or directly into new homes. Further, we are committed to helping Anatolians and their crosses, regardless of age or health condition. We will offer and provide assistance to ASD and other Livestock Guardian (LGD) breed owners who are having problems with their dogs, in an effort to keep the dog in its present home. We offer ongoing support to our adopting families to help them with any problems they may experience with their ASD. When able to, we will work with other Livestock Guardian rescue groups to help place other Livestock Guardian breeds into new homes.

Underdog Rescue of Arizona, LLC

P.O. Box 13392
Arizona
85248
info@underdogaz.com(480) 553-9311
We are a group of volunteers who have individually worked with many other rescues prior to starting Underdog Rescue. We are an all breed rescue, and have a soft spot for bully breeds, medical cases and fear cases. We pull primarily from the County Shelter's daily Euthanasia list and place animals in our approved foster homes. We then network these homeless pets in order to rehome them into loving families. We require all adoption applicants to fill our our adoption application, receive a home visit, pay our adoption/rehoming fee and sign our legal adoption contract. All animals are fully vaccinated and altered prior to adoption being finalized. We do a standard 2 week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period, in which the applicant has the opportunity to be sure the animal is a good fit for their home/family.

DHDR was founded on January 6, 2009. Our mission is (1) to rescue placeable purebred Doberman Pinschers in Arizona, evaluate and treat them, and place them in suitable, qualified, and loving forever homes, and (2) to educate the public about our breed and about living with a Doberman. Our first priority is to save fundamentally sound dogs who are at high risk of death or abuse, dogs on shelter “kill” lists, strays, and foundlings in accordance with applicable laws. After exploring all other options to keep them in their present homes, and when our resources permit, our second priority is to save owner-surrendered purebred Dobermans from being sent to a shelter or destroyed.

The Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter

5278 E 21st Street
Tucson
Arizona
85711
info@hermitagecatshelter.org(520) 571-7839
We are AZ's 1st No-Kill, No-Cage cat shelter. We take in cats and kittens from the public but also make regular rescues from the local kill shelters. Mission To advocate for homeless cats in our community by: • Actively seeking permanent, loving homes for the cats in our care • Providing lifelong care to those cats who for behavioral or medical reasons are unable to be re-homed • Educating the public about responsible companion animal guardianship • Adhering to the principle of “no-kill” in that no cat in our care will ever be euthanized to make room for another. Nor, will any cat in our care ever be destroyed except in cases of terminal and painful illness or when compassion demands it because there is no reasonable alternative. Vision Our vision for the future is that: Every cat is spayed/neutered and is cared for in a loving home by a responsible guardian People treat animals as the sentient beings they are, ensuring that they are neither exploited nor harmed The Hermitage Cat Shelter is a world-class organization, providing sanctuary care for cats needing temporary or permanent shelter, and promoting the innate value of all animals
