I, Jeffrey A Smith, Co-founded and became the President of nonprofit organization. FAS works directly with public, local shelters to assist with special needs, overlooked & "critical" dogs to keep from euthanasia. Also working with no kill shelters to condition, train & adopt out.

We are a breed specific rescue working with Pitbulls to rehome and rehabilitate both the dogs and the public's general perception of the breed.

Best Friends Animal Society in Northwest Arkansas works collaboratively with city shelters, local animal welfare organizations and passionate individuals to save the lives of cats in our area.

Gdar is small home based rescue, mostly accepting strays and own surrenders but we do have the occasional shelter pull if space permits. We do have a limited space availability of 10 and don't use fosters. We are building our own building starting September 26,2016 at that point our intake should be able to double if donations allow. We are one of the fastest growing rescues around, this is our second year as a 501c3. I got into rescue because of my love for dogs, I started with transport and fostering for another organization that will alway be dear to me, but branched off on my own due to the fact our county, and literally hundreds of small towns around don't type have any type of municipal animal services at all.

We are a small group of people who originally formed the 501(C)3 in 1999. We are retired to this area from other places and have professional backgrounds. Our President is a retired Air Force Colonel who was a nurse. She and others saw a real need in this rural community for someone to help educate the people on how to better care for animals and the need to spay and neuter and decided to build a shelter and start housing the unwanted animals of Stone County. I have been actively involved since 2008. Our shelter dream was finally a reality when we were given a wonderful gift from a local person who died and left an estate trust to us that will be disbursed over a 12 year period. We were able to secure a bank loan to build the shelter based on the annual disbursements from this estate trust and it was completed in August. We believe that all animals should be properly cared for and loved and not tied up in a yard or left out in weather with not shelter or used for breeding. We have conducted several small size rescues in the area over the years with the help of the local authorities and helped stop one hoarder who had 200 dogs at one time and could not care for them. The ASPCA was called in to help with this issue. We can only house about 20 t o 25 dogs and the same number of cats at any one time. We do not have a viable foster program to help take in more unwanted animals. We work from a wait list and take animals that are in danger sooner than ones that are being cared for by someone. Last year in 2016 we adopted out 128 dogs and transported 37 dogs to another rescue in Colorado that we work with that takes our dogs or puppies that we do not have room to keep. This shelter has a facility as well as a large foster program to house the dogs till they are adopted out by them. We took in a total of 170 dogs and returned 38 to owners who had lost dogs. We adopted out 59 cats, had 68 cats surrendered and spayed and neutered 249 animals.

Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster based dog rescue at this time. We rescue dogs from local animal shelters, strays, and owner intakes. We then search for a forever home. Arkansas has a overpopulation of stray dogs, not spayed or neutered. We are trying to decrease the numbers of unwanted animals.

We are a foster based rescue that helps abused, neglected and/or dumped dogs. We go above and beyond with vetting to make sure they are in the best condition ever. We bring them into a home environment to show them love and what it's like to have a family that truly cares about them. We socialize them, train them etc.

Animal Control for the city of Gentry Ar. We hold stray dogs for 5 days then find good homes for our dogs.

The Redfield Friends of the Animals Rescue group is a 501(c)3 non profit organization. Our main goal is to assist the Redfield Animal Control in the adoption process of the current city pound population. We are a foster and donation based rescue. Along with this, we also work to provide needed medical assistance, advocate and promote spay and neuter education, assist in any repairs of kennels, collect and organize donations, etc.

Arkanpaws Animal Rescue is a group of volunteers who are passionate about helping homeless animals through rescuing, fostering, vetting, and rehabilitating, and then finally finding them loving “fur-ever” homes. We’re located in central Arkansas, however, transport is available to most states. We arrange transport for dogs adopted into homes in New England every week. Most of our animals currently reside in foster homes in the central Arkansas area. ArkanPaws is committed to building a community of devoted pet families and helping facilitate greater networking and services for pet owners. We want to educate people about why it is so important to spay and neuter animals as a solution to ending the huge problem of pet overpopulation. Too many beautiful, healthy, adoptable pets are dying needlessly every day as a result of that overpopulation. We are developing a network of volunteer and foster families, and helping to spread the word about spay/neuter discount programs available, and other pet related information. Knowledge is power, and the power to evoke a positive change in the community is a beautiful thing indeed!
