e are a Non-Profit Organization run by Volunteers The adoption donation is used to partially recover the costs involved in rescuing. These costs include but are not limited to: Shelter fees, spay/neuter, food, housing, vaccinations, de-worming, microchip, and any vet exams or medical care that the dog may have required. We would not have been able to save the life of the dog you are interested in without the adoption donation from another that came before him/her. All of the canines that we take in are screened for behavioral issues and health problems prior to permanent placement with their new mommies and daddies. Behavioral screening means that we check to see if they get along with kids, the elderly, cats, dogs, and other animals. It also entails checking to see if they nip, are scared of fast movement, are jumpy, don't like to be touched in certain ways, chew excessively, etc. Medical screening means that we have them de-wormed, current on vaccines, free of parasites and communicable disease, are treated for pre-existing conditions, and declared healthy within manageable limits.

We are a family and friends run organization of dog lovers with personal and professional experience with animals for more than 30 years combined. We rescue and offer a safe haven for shelter dogs in need, dogs who are relenquished by their owners, and offer financial assistance to limited/fixed income pet owners for medical costs or food for their dogs. We do this out of our common love for dogs, desire to help those in need, and are passionate about animal welfare.

Community Cat Rescue

PO Box 1067
Palo Alto
California

commcatrescue@gmail.com
Community Cat Rescue is a group of experienced rescue and TNR volunteers who are working to reduce the population of homeless cats and improve their lives. We manage cat colonies, actively trap for spay/neuter, assist others with colonies and trapping, rescue adoptable (socializable) kittens and cats for adoption and manage a network of foster homes. All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and given appropriate veterinary care before adoption. Our fostercare standards are very high! We host a minimum of 2 outreach adoption events per month, and often as many as 6 events. Our events are also open to verified independent rescuers in our community who meet our health and care standards, because we want to help as many cats and kittens as possible.

Central Coast Herding Dog Rescue

Paso Robles
California
93446
info@cchdrescue.org
Central Coast Border Collie Rescue (CCBCRescue) is dedicated to helping find homes for Border Collies, Australian Shepherds, Australian Cattle Dogs/Queensland Heelers and other herding breeds and mixes. This site lists dogs in shelters as well as dogs in homes and foster care, and is intended to help adopters seeking good dogs, and dogs seeking loving homes. Why we do it: Herding dogs are not for every one. Too many adopters get these dogs as status symbols only to find out, their life style doesn't meet these high energy dogs needs. As a result, these wonderful misunderstood dogs wind up in shelters. We understand what drives these dogs, we can place them appropriately. Our mission is to educate people and save dogs. We do it because we love these dogs, with a little effort, can give them a good new life. Euthanasia is not the solution to out animal overpopulation issue. Education is.

We are a 501c3 rescue for older, unwanted and abandoned dogs in Carmichael CA. Our mission is first to rescue and rehabilitate them. The younger ones, 10 and under, will be eventually adopted out. The older ones will be kept or permanently fostered and trained as therapy dogs. These dogs will act as visitors to retirement homes and as companions in reading programs for children with reading difficulties. I'm an old dog myself and I needed a project bigger than myself. I love all animals and wanted my rescue to about helping senior humans and dogs.
