Our Goal and Mission Baja Dog Rescue is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that is run by a group of dedicated volunteers. We rescue and rehabilitate unwanted, abandoned and neglected dogs and find them loving happy homes. We literally give them a second chance at life. And everybody deserves a second chance. We need your help to continue to save the lives of so many wonderful and loving dogs. Good-hearted humans can make all the difference! People who befriend, feed, foster, and bring these dogs back to good health are rescuers. Each one of our dogs is socialized, spay/neutered, vaccinated, and treated for any medical or behavioral conditions. It's what you'll read about here - the work of rescuers who live in Baja California or in the San Diego, California area. We save street dogs and find them homes. You may never see such a deep devotion as these grateful dogs feel for a human who is simply kind to them. They radiate joy and it's contagious -- their adopters catch joy from them all the time.

FastFriends Greyhound Adoption is dedicated to finding kind, loving homes for every greyhound retiring from the Caliente Race Track in Tijuana. We have been doing this since 1995 and recently brought in our 3,000th ex-racing greyhound. We use an extensive foster home and volunteer network; all of our available dogs are fostered in homes.

I am the area coordinator for LRRF

Every day dogs in good health with wonderful personalities are euthanized. Why? Because they're older, and not considered adoptable. A dog is brought in because he can't jog with his guardian anymore. Or he needs a little time to get up the stairs. Or he’s simply not a puppy. In some cases, dogs are moved from loving homes to concrete cages because their guardians have died or simply can't care for them anymore. We reach out to senior dogs at risk, give them the care they need, and find them loving forever homes. If we had our way, no dog would spend their last days in a shelter. There is so much love and joy in these dogs!

CARE has been in business for over ten years. The mission of CARE is to protect the welfare and promote the humane treatment of animals by - providing shelter adn medical care for stray, abandoned or owner relinquished animal in San Juan Capistrano. To respond to animal needs with personal commitment, humane sensitivity, compassion, and technical skills. To actively pursue suitable adoptions of all adoptable and treatable animals. To promote and support spay and neuter programs. And to prevent cruelty to animals by supporting animal welfare legislation and education.

Mickaboo is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in the San Francisco Bay area. We are dedicated to rescuing companion birds (parrot-type and other commonly domesticated birds) who have been neglected, abused, injured or surrendered to us. Our goals are: * To ensure that birds in our care will have a safe, loving environment for life. * To educate bird owners on the most current care information, so that the medical, emotional, and dietary needs of their birds will be met.
