Established in 1982, the Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill cat shelter located in Denver, Colorado. Staff and volunteers care for approximately 150 homeless, abandoned, abused, and neglected cats and kittens. RMFR receives no government funding and is dependent upon donations from the community and the proceeds from fundraising events. The shelter is located in an industrial area, less than five miles from Downtown Denver. ARAS/RMFR originally began in a garage, then relocated to its present location where it has existed for about 22 years.

The Bichon Frise Rescue Ranch, Inc. was established in 1999 out of love for the Bichon Frise breed of dog, and is dedicated to providing care for unwanted and unloved small dogs. The Bichon Frise Rescue Ranch, Inc. provides interim care and housing to pets that have been abandoned by their owners, and for puppy-mill rescues that need care and socialization until they are adequately prepared to become pets in new forever homes. The Bichon Frise Rescue Ranch, Inc. is pro-active in educating the public about the special needs of small dogs, primarily Bichons, in hopes that less pets will be adopted by families that are unable to meet their needs and therefore end up placing them in a "rescue" situation. The goal of the Bichon Frise Rescue Ranch, Inc. is to tender loving care to unwanted and unloved small dogs and to see that none are ever left to die just because someone did not want him. Although primarily dedicated to the Bichon breed of dog, the "Ranch" will occasionally take in other small dogs in need. Additionally, we work with the Denver Metro Pomeranian Club, in rescue of Pomeranians.
