The Evergreen Animal Protective League was organized in April, 1981, to aid lost, abandoned and suffering animals through rescue, shelter and education. The League has provided a better life for over 9,300 cats, dogs and other pets. Some facts. We are totally volunteer. The majority of our members work during the day and do their volunteer work in the evenings and on weekends. There are NO paid employees. We are not supported by taxes. All funding comes from donations from the public, and from fund raising activities. We do not make money from adoption fees. Adoption fees do not even cover the cost of advertising the pet, let alone vet care, etc. Because we must raise our own funds to operate, we depend upon the Evergreen community for contributions and for volunteer assistance. We are a non-profit organization recognized for tax exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service. Our tax exempt number is 74-2204391. If you are contemplating donating to us you may use this number. We rescue and shelter (if space is available) abandoned pets. We adopt pets not claimed by anyone to new homes. We reunite lost pets with their owners through lost and found records. We assist financially with neutering of pets, and we educate pet owners about neutering whenever possible. We educate adults wherever possible about proper care of pets. We provide educational programs in the elementary schools. We provide pet registration tags for pets. We conduct fund raising activities to finance our programs. We are a good source for information on pet behavior problems, but do not consider ourselves a replacement for a veterinarian. We help animals in any way that we possibly can.

To place pets in need in foster and forever homes. Provide education and training to volunteers and those who foster and/or adopt. We do it because there are so many good pets that deserve a good home, and do not deserve to be euthanized.

4 Paws 4 Life rescue pulls dogs from HIGH KILL shelters and places them in preapproved foster homes until we can find the dog a qualified permanent home. We rehome all breeds and all ages of dogs. Pet overpopulation and shelters who euthanize dogs are the main 2 reasons that we need to help these orphaned pets who can not help themselves.

Our Mission at Apple Wood is to provide rehabilitation, shelter, and proper care to all small exotic mammals in need, while also focusing on their mental health to help ensure rehoming success. We are a no kill sanctuary. I am the main contact, care giver, and financial contributor to AWR. I do it because all the big shelters in Denver just put the little guys down and the ones they do keep for adoption are generally not cared for properly. There is not another shelter in Denver that caters to the specific needs of 'pocket pets.'

Tinker's Dream is a 501C3 that was created as a "pay it forward" program to celebrate her impact on her owner's life. Tinker went from being a rescue dog to a working service dog allowing her partner to return to work full time. While our focus is on rescuing Newfoundland & Newfoundland mixes to train as therapy & service dogs we also partner with other working breed rescues for educational programs.. We are seeking foster homes as well as forever homes for these special animals. We will be offering programs to help veterans & others with disabilities to train their own service dogs

Triple Acres Horse Rescue, Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to the compassionate care of equines. Our mission is to save, protect, and rehabilitate horses in need, as well as provide support to existing and potential owners. We will also provide educational and volunteer opportunities for individuals and organizations in our community. We rescue abused, neglected, or abandoned equines; provide them with care, rehabilitation and training; and finally find them a compatible, loving home. We believe that education is the long-term solution to improving the lives of horses and the relationship between them and their owners.

Colorado Animal Welfare League (CAWL) is a 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization founded with the mission to protect homeless animals in Colorado and the surrounding states of Nebraska, Kansas, Wyoming, and New Mexico. We are currently made up of a small group of committed volunteers trying to save one animal at a time. As an all volunteer administration, any donations made to CAWL go directly to servicing the needs of the animals we save.

Colorado Aussie Rescue is a non-profit, no kill, dog rescue that rescues and rehomes herding and northern breed dogs with emphasis on Australian Shepherd and Husky dogs within a 500 mile radius of Denver, Colorado.

We started this mission to find far away dogs in rural places and work diligently to coordinate long-haul transports to get them to Colorado.
