Sooty’s Sanctuary is a group of concerned citizens, volunteers, and fosters, dedicated to giving a better life to the countless homeless pets, and petless homes. We are pending our 501(c)(3), but are none-the-less a non-profit organization, so every cent donated will go directly to the pets and our efforts to re-home them.

We are a foster based program. All animals that we rescue are kept in foster homes. We do have access to a Cat Room at Petsmart in Royal Palm Beach where the cats are housed briefly for exposure and they return to their foster home until their next rotation.

You had Me at MEOW, Inc. is a non-profit, no-kill, volunteer cat/kitten rescue serving Brevard county and the surrounding counties. We are dedicated to rescuing homeless cats/kittens that end up in shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia. This includes pet cats surrendered by their owners, and those in danger of abuse or neglect. We speak for those who can't speak to make sure they get a fair shot at life, and the happiness they deserve. We make sure that all of our cats/kittens have been either spayed or neutered before they go to their forever homes. We place cats/kittens in loving, responsible, and committed homes. We require an adoption application, vet and personal references, home visit, and a waiver from renters stating pets are approved. We do not adopt on a first come, first serve basis. We match our cat/kittens with adopters that we feel is the best fit. We want kitty and the new owner to have the loving relationship they both deserve.

Sheltering Hands, Inc. is a volunteer based, limited intake, live release rescue formed in 2007. Our mission is to improve the lives of cats through humane care, spay/neuter, adoptions, education and support services. A network of foster homes and residence facilities provide care until a home is found. Sheltering Hands also participates in education programs about responsible pet care, as well as conducting programs and assistance for spay/neuter and injured animal needs. Island Dog rescues dogs and all other pets both locally and in Freeport Bahamas. Each pet is in a home environment so we know how each pet will act in that environment and it allows us to match adopters with pets more easily. We provide all vetting, include obedience training in Groveland and welcome our adopters to all events. Some dogs are available for a foster to adopt and we even rescue wildlife.

We are a Central Florida foster based rescue.

Paw Patrol is a 501c3 non profit animal rescue. I am Annie Lopez Garay, VP and co founder of the organization. I along with my rescue partner, Cristy Torres are very hands on and are involved in every aspect of the day to day business. We network for donations, fosters, adoptions, events. We organize events. We approve all foster and adoption applications, interview candidates. We transport to our vets and to our fosters/adopters. We are in constant contact with the fosters and vets about all of the pets under the rescue. Cristy and I are incredible animal lovers, we have many of our own and cannot turn a blind eye to the epidemic of abandoned animals, especially in South Florida. We conducted a huge donation drive after Hurricane Harvey and were able to help the needy in Texas and then all over Florida and the Islands after Maria hit. We need to speak for those who cannot. We've adopted hundreds of animals and have helped hundreds more by networking with fellow rescues and advocates.

Founded in 2011 after seeing countless family pets being surrendered to kill shelters or thrown to the streets we felt the community needed a retention program offering free pet food to spayed and neutered pets, assistance with the surgeries and education about responsible pet ownership. We began to distribute free pet food to the community. Once we had a standing in the community helping pet parents we began to help the medically at risk dogs at our local kill shelter beginning in 2015. We pull Heartworm positive dogs and dogs with serious medical or behavior ailments as we believe they deserve just as much a chance at life as the perfectly healthy and adoptable ones at the shelter.
