several people broke off from a local rescue that had become, in our opinion, too much about prestige and money. They also weren't doing a good job in caring for the pets physically and mentally. We want to focus on the quality of our work, not quantity. We do rescue simply because it's the right thing to do! I am a certified vet tech so i've always thought that it's kind of my duty to share my talents.

Touched By An Animal helps preserve the nurturing bond between people and their companion animals by helping the Elderly and others maintain this loving relationship and providing lifetime homes for cats when needed, in our home, where Cats-Are-Purrsons-Too. Cats-Are-Purrsons-Too helps tossed and found cats get adopted. Touched by An Animal helps the elderly keep their companion animals.

Partners For Pets volunteers frequently visit high kill animal control facilities and pull dogs and cats who are scheduled for euthanasia. We focus primarily on frail, sick, elderly, injured and sick animals that have little to no chance of adoption through one of these facilities. We are a group of very dedicated volunteers with a small shelter and only 5 paid part time employees. Our adoption numbers far exceed the larger rescue groups in our area and we do over 1000 adoptions per year with a very low return rate.

DOGS DESERVE BETTER is a nonprofit organization dedicated to freeing the chained dog, and bringing our 'best friend' into the home and family.
